    This exclusive and unique Douro Tour will take you on a journey through the stunning landscapes of the Douro Valley, stopping in charming villages along the way. You will enjoy guided tours of two renowned wineries, where you will learn about the winemaking process, taste excellent wines, and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the vineyards. You will then embark on a scenic cruise along the Douro River. As part of this exclusive Douro Tour, you will also enjoy a delicious traditional local lunch paired with Douro DOC wines, providing a complete immersion in the Douro culture.

  • Duration: the hours of duration are approximate 10 hours. The Tour is subject to local traffic, visit schedules, etc
  • You can be picked up from a private address other than hotels in Porto & Vila Nova de Gaia downtown area/city center only (Matosinhos Cities are outside pick-up limits)
  • Our pick-ups happen between 8am & 8:45am (the time window for all client pick-ups), so we advise to always aim to be ready at 8am in advance.
  • Wineries or order of wineries visited may differ depending on their availability.
  • Visits at the wineries and river cruises are not fully private and open to external participants.

Great family tour with Ana and Luis

Ana and Luis gave us a great tour! They were so welcoming and informative. And they were great with our kids. We learned alot too.

Our guide was great and informative. The small group got to know each other and was like being with family by the end of the tour. The wine and lunch was good and I would recommend this tour highly.

Premium small group Douro Valley Wine Tour

Wonderful whole day trip with a couple of vineyards visits + cruise tour. We especially enjoyed the 1st wine tour which is operated by the individual family business. Though the vineyard is smaller, the experience is unique. The hotel pick up/drop off service were also good and on time. The van is comfortable and roomy.

This is an all day tour with a lot of van time. That being said, tour was very nice. We were picked up right at our hotel. Small group of 8 people. First stop was snacks. Good move. Next stop was a one hour boat ride on the Douro. We were the only people on the boat but I’m sure in season it is much more crowded. The we stopped at two wineries. Second one had lunch. The lunch was very good. Apparently they had some issues in the past with the lunch quality but the winery took over the lunch prep themselves and fixed that issue. After lunch the owner of the winery came to greet us and gave us a tour of the gardens which are not normally a part of the deal. All in all it was a good day.

Rui was the best. He had so much information from history to wine to Portuguese culture, but he was also very funny and fun, as well as being very professional. This Private tour picked us up at the door of our hotel, Beautiful scenery, delicious wine tastings. Lunch at the small family-owned Winery was delicious and the even accommodated me as a vegetarian. Excellent Private Duoro Valley wine tour.
