Overview

The Douro Valley, World heritage and one of the oldest wine producing regions in the world, has unique landscapes and delicious treats ready to amaze you. This region is home of the famous Douro Wine, specifically the Port wine. As soon as we arrive we will sample the amazing treats that the valley has to offer: almonds, its traditional bread and its delicious honey, all paired with Douro´s red, white and rosé wines. Then, we will head to the Pinhão train station, where you can see the history of Douro's wine industry in typical blue&white portuguese tiles. You can also go for an optional boat ride. After, we will visit a family-owned winery with access to an exclusive lunch menu with all included and paired with White, Red and Port Wines. After lunch you will have a Port Wine tasting in which you will sample several different years. Before arriving in Porto, we will visit Amarante, for a final tasting of its treats.

Our first stop in Régua is to enjoy a quick coffee while taking in the breathtaking landscapes. We'll have the chance to capture beautiful pictures, create lasting memories, and cross a charming 19th-century walking bridge. Get ready for an unforgettable experience in this picturesque region!

Experience the ultimate combination of beauty and flavor with our Museum & Familiar Cellar Visit. Marvel at the breathtaking view of the Douro River while indulging in tastings of white, rosé, and red wines. Discover regional olive oil, almonds, bread, and other delectable products. Immerse yourself in the history and culture of the Douro Valley. Unforgettable moments await you, as you learn about the winemaking process and the traditional techniques behind the production of these exceptional wines.

Douro Valley scenery and wine!

We had a great trip to the Douro Valley with Alex. He took care of every detail along the way, and could not have been more pleasant. Great food and Drink all day, along with really nice scenery and quaint villages. I would certainly recommend this tour!

Spent the day in Douro Valley with Alex and we had a wonderful day! We weren't unsure about the time of year for the tour but it ended up being beautiful despite the cooler temperatures. Alex was really fun to spend the day with and he was very knowledgeable as he is from Porto. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone considering it.

Excellent day, lovely lunch and good value

We don't usually do organised excursions, preferring to get places ourselves, but decided as we only had 2 days in Porto to book on to one and chose a small van tour. We are so glad we did and had an amazing time. Being in a small van made it easier to enjoy the views of the Douro Valley. The vineyard we visited for a tasting had stunning views, lunch was far more than I expected in a beautiful setting and the sun came out for the boat cruise. Each part of the experience was the right amount of time and we didn't feel rushed. Even though we traveled a long distance it didn't feel like it. Some of the roads in the Douro Valley are very windy though. The tour guide was very friendly and informative and knew the places to pull in for photo shots. On arrival back in Douro she dropped us by our hotel as we passed the front door. I would consider booking a similar excursion again and felt it was very good value for money.

Alex our guide was a wonderful driver, gave us great information about the area. The wineries we visited were all beautiful but the wine themselves were not amazing. The food was average. I gave a 5 star rating because our our tour guide.
