Had an excellent day out, our driver Pedro was very knowledgeable and interesting. Was great seeing some of the interesting places on the island even better being able to go off road and see some amazing scenery. The time went really quickly. There was only 2 couples in a small jeep which made the day really easy going.

Great experience. John our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the island, plants and events. He told us of the Christmas festivities in the centre of Funchal that evening which we went to and enjoyed immensely..Thanks John. The weather was not good but still a very enjoyable experience.

The jeep tour of Madeira's East with Safari Madeira was very enjoyable. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, fluent in German and English, and he kept our small group pleasantly engaged and entertained throughout. The stops were well worth visiting (although Santana, perhaps, is not all that interesting). Fantastic scenery, some adventurous roads through the forests (narrow and muddy, but not scary if you suffer from vertigo). The jeep was more comfortable than the Land Rovers that are often used for such safaris, and it safely and comfortably brought us to a waterfall hidden in a forest, as well as up and down some rural paths that a mini van would not be able to travel. In the end, it's the fantastic guide who turned a good tour into a great one. Would definitely recommend the tour and Safari Madeira to other visitors.

Fantastic day out seeing so much of the island. Our driver whose name escapes me (South African chap) was amazing. He was like a talking text book and gave us so much information. Thoroughly enjoyable and overall the east was better than the west tour, in terms of experience. We had a lovely couple from Norway too, who joined us Artu and Sylvia. Such a wonderful day and well worth it. Take a few layers, as we had different temperatures throughout the day.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Silvio as our driver! From start to finish, he went above and beyond to ensure our journey was smooth, enjoyable, and informative. Silvio explained everything in great detail, answering all our questions with patience and expertise. His knowledge and passion truly elevated our trip. I had the pleasure of sitting in the front seat and got to chat with Silvio quite a bit—he’s not just a skilled driver but also a wonderful conversationalist! His stories and insights made the drive even more memorable, and his professionalism and friendliness put us completely at ease. Thanks to Silvio, we had the best time and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you’re lucky enough to have him as your driver, you’re in for a treat! Highly recommend!
