Our yacht "Miranda", moored in the port of Calheta, sails out to meet the local species of cetaceans, assisted by a spotter on-land and explained by our guide. From there on, the world is at your feet! Depending on the weather conditions, you can decide to sail along the coast, to swim in the ocean with goggles and fins we provide on-board, to sunbathe and relax with a fresh drink. Or, witness the magic of the Sunset from a privileged place, Choose an evening private cruise and experience the ocean in a different way! We can accommodate 6 guests for private charters on Miranda. In case of larger groups, please enquire about our options and upgrades.

We will be happy to clear out any doubts you might have regarding the tour and help you prepare. We will help you choose the snorkelling equipment and get to know each other until the Captain is ready to welcome you on-board !

Amazing experience from the beginning. Very professional and warm team. We went to the private tour on Gringo with Emmanuel and Martin. In addition to amazing views we saw a baby sperm wale very close to our boat. Definitely recommend to choose On Tales for your trip and if you have possibility definitely private tour.

The boat trip was fantastic! We had a wonderful time with Bea, our Captain and Rui who were both so informative and knowledgeable about Madeira and the whales, dolphins etc. The four of us are not young by any means and Bea and Rui were also kind and respectful. Would recommend this trip for young and old anytime! Thanks also to Mayung and Emmanuel!

My wife and I rented a private boat; On Tales arranged a car for us; the service from On Tales was great and our crew was great; both the captain and our guide had degrees in marine biology; both were friendly and informative; it was a wonderful experience and my wife and I would go again; highly recommend it; we were lucky enough to see 6 whales, tales and all

Great trip and plenty of sightings

Had a great time and we were super fortunate to sight Hammerhead sharks and bottlenose dolphins. The crew were very professional and considered what we wanted to do. After sighting the sharks there was no way I was getting in the ocean, so instead they sailed closer to shore so we could see more detail on the coast. Drinks were nice and the boat was very clean. The company arranged transportation for us and they were very prompt. We received about 450 photos from the day and we got some great shots of the dolphins, only suggestion would be that it would be nice to be greeted onto the boat with a glass of sparkling wine and also for some photos to be taken of us from the front, there are a lot of the photos of the back of our heads.
