Fantastic time in Asakusa

Nobu Asakusa

Nobu was great. Very knowledgeable and very efficient. There was a good variety of food items. He managed our time well.

A local twist on Asakusa dining

Taiga met us right on time and took us to several of his favourite food haunts in Asakusa. We had great sushi and special rolls at the first establishment and a hot plate noodle dish prepared in front of us by the staff at the second one. Then finished it off with matcha tea ice cream and cider (excellent) at the third. I learned some sushi etiquette that I did!n't know before - have definitely been using too much soy sauce on my sushi. Taiga told us about the history of Asakua and his connections to the area. He grew up bilingual in Japan, so his formal and vernacular English are perfect. We were joined by a great family from the UK so we all clicked. Made for a nice tour experience.

The food tour was fabulous. Shino was a wonderful guide. She's very kind and friendly. She had all sorts of stories and taught us a lot about Japan. I would highly recommend her tour.
