This was our third family trip to Thailand, and once again, we entrusted our trip plans to Discovery Travel. This decision proved to be the right one yet again. Sam and his entire team consistently deliver a flawless and exceptional travel experience. Snorkeling during the rainy season was not really possible, we tried, but the water was quite sandy, that was a pity! The singing tour guide Kiri and the awesome beach made up for this many times! Also the turtles were quite interesting and cute to watch!

Fabulous trip - from a quiet pier we went by 6-seater long-tailed boat between mangrove forests to the local reef, where 'Garfield' the very informative guide checked the water for currents before I started snorkelling. There were plenty of fish and corals to see, and there were no crowds and no rushing. I saw crab-eating monkeys on a couple of the beaches we passed, as well as a monitor lizard. The picnic lunch in the mangrove area near the huge and deserted beach was delicious, and I saw lots of rainbow lizards there while I relaxed in the shade. The twins who crewed the boat were cheerful and helped me in and out of the boat whenever needed.

Man was an excellent guide for our snorkeling experience. We loved the low key nature of the day, from the local taxi pick up, the isolated fishing villages, and the really relaxed journey through the mangroves (where we saw monkeys) and out to the snorkeling site. Not all of our family enjoyed the snorkeling but that was more about us than the experience, and Man and his crew did everything to make it as good as it could be. The real highlight for us was the delicious lunch prepared for us to eat next to the most incredible beach - sheer paradise.

On holiday with grandparents and two children, 12 and 14, we had a great time. Our guide was superb - knowledgeable and very friendly. We enjoyed the snorkeling and saw a nicer of tropical fish. Sure, it's not as impressive as what would be seen at the Similan Islands but they're 1.5 hours away and this was a 20 minute boat trip. 2 snorkeling opportunities, good equipment, clear support and advice and allowed us to go at the pace we wanted and stay in as long as we wanted. Ice cold drinks were provided and lunch (delicious massaman curry) at a deserted, golden sand beach with further swimming opportunities was fantastic. Enjoyed by all the family.
