Overview

Departure from the port of Civitavecchia by bus at 9:30/9.40 am Arrival in Rome (St. Peter's) approx. at 11:00 am Departure from Rome(St. Peter's) at 4:00 pm Arrival in Civitavecchia at 5:30 pm A member of our staff will accompany you to Rome and provide you a free map.  How to find us: Upon debarkation, please take one of the free shuttle services from your cruise ship to the meeting point. The ride should take about ten minutes. Your coach will be in the car park at Largo della Pace, just opposite of the fire brigades station. Your assistant from Civitatours will be waiting for you. Please plan to be at the designated departure location at least 15 minutes before the departure time. If you encounter any difficulties the day of the tour, please contact the local representative +393517719272

Meeting points

Upon debarkation please take one of the free shuttle buses from your cruise ship until the meeting point in LARGO DELLA PACE (10 minutes ride). The staff from CIVITATOURS will be waiting for you wearing yellow uniforms (t-shirts/jackets). They will indicate you the bus. Please arrive by 9:15am

Exceptional Tour with Daniel - Highly Recommended!

My wife, Jenna, and I recently spent a day in Rome on a Civitatours tour with Daniel as our guide, and it was an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, Daniel’s exceptional hospitality and expertise made our day truly special. Daniel is incredibly knowledgeable and speaks multiple languages fluently, including Spanish, English, and Italian. He seamlessly switched between them, ensuring everyone in our small group of 8 to 10 felt included and understood. We visited the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and Vatican. Daniel provided fascinating tidbits and fun facts about each location, enhancing our understanding and appreciation of these historic sites. Daniel’s commitment to our enjoyment and comfort was evident throughout the tour. He kept our group together effortlessly, ensuring no one missed out on any details. He also arranged a fantastic, authentic Italian lunch at a very reasonable price. Since it was our honeymoon, Daniel went above and beyond by surprising us with an “I love Rome” magnet, a gesture that meant a lot to us. He always had a smile and made sure we were comfortable and engaged. The tour bus, driven by the friendly Paulo, was very comfortable and air-conditioned. Highly recommend this tour. It is very fast paced and there is a lot of walking involved. If you would like to see Rome in a day without going into the vatican, etc. and just see the sites, this tour is for you. We were lucky enough to have visited Rome previously before so just going back to see the sites was perfect for us. We were on a cruise and our ship was docked overnight. The next day we went back on our own to go into St. Peter's Basilica.

Superb tour of Rome

Tour today went very well. Our guide was very cultured and knowledgeable and made sure we all made it back in good time despite the intense heat and the jostling crowds. He looked after the youngest and oldest on our group, taking time to talk to a young boy and also to make sure an older lady got on OK. We loved our tour of Rome, following the blue unicorn beacon, and learned lots. Cast our coins in the fountain, so we will be back!

We had a last minute cruise stop in Civitavecchia due to our ship being unable to dock in Livorno due to bad weather. Communication with the company by WhatsApp was good as our (and other) cruise ships were late docking. There were plenty of representatives from the company waiting where the port shuttle buses dropped off, we did the CLASSIC tour which was perfect for our short trip in Rome. The walking tour was at a perfect pace for us and Andreas the tour guide was informative. We saw all the main sights. Good tour at a good price. We returned to the port with plenty of time before our ship left.
