We learn the history of Crete, as we continue ascending reaching an elevation of 1600 meters. We then pay a visit to the entrance of Samaria Gorge, one of the biggest and most beautiful hiking trails in Europe, as well as we make multiple photo stops for unforgettable memories and in order to understand the scale of our region. Pass through the Therisso Gorge, one of the most breathtaking gorges that can be viewed on a car. You stop for photos, as well as to observe the traditional Cretan goats and sheep who sleep and wander throughout the gorge's length.

Worthwhile Excursion

The sights were incredible from the entrance to the Samaria Gorge. Lunch was amazingly delicious and our tour guide was very knowledgeable!!!!!

My husband booked this tour, at first I wasn’t sure about it. But it turned out excellent, the driver ( Apostolis ) is a nice guy, respectful, patient, great sense of humor. The driver took us all over and we hung out with the locals. It was great. You definitely needs to book it. Will book them again when we return

A wonderful and fun time time exploring the villages and gorges of Crete while learning about the vast history of this island and their heritage. Definitely do this private tour if you want to immerse yourself into the local culture and cuisine. Our guide was super knowledgeable and had a great zest for this island.
