Overview

It must have been the Daily Telegraph that a couple of years ago mentioned a reason to visit each Greek island. For Crete, the main reason was the food. Locals couldn't agree more, as 90% of the Greek islands might have unparalleled beauty, but Crete offers the best quality of food on top of that as well. For this reason, a food tour in town would have been the very best idea. This experience is going to give you the opportunity to taste an abundance of local products, from the greatest Cretan producers. From the classic Raki / Tsikoudia, to Cretan Bougatsa, the local varieties of local Cheese, olives, and even the very best sweets. In order to make this tour unique, we have added a visit to a local herbs and products store, (which, among locals, is considered the most secret gem) and also a visit to the best traditional manufacturer of Cretan knives. From the classic Raki / Tsikoudia, to Cretan Bougatsa, the local varieties of local Cheese, olives, and even the very best sweets. In order to make this tour unique, we have added a visit to a local herbs and products store, (which, among locals, is considered the most secret gem) and also a visit to the best traditional manufacturer of Cretan knives. We visit both the modern and the old town. We get to see on our way, the Market (which is under reconstruction) the charming narrow streets of the old town and the beauty of the Venetian Port. (this tour is not provided by a licensed guide).

A delicious day!

A great way to get a “taste” of Chania. Not only are you introduced to the delicious local foods but also get a great overview of the towns history. It was a lovely morning and would highly recommend you include it in your trip.

It was a great food tour in the old town of Chania ,we had a fun group with very nice people . the tourguide was excellent ! Christos and het brought us to fabulous shops with delicious food . it was so nice to see the old town of Chania, meeting people from over the world and eating delicious snacks. our tourguide Christos was super friendly. Thank you for the nice trip.

Great tour with a lot of well prepared traditional food. Nice, small group of 7. Christos is - according to my 18 years old son - "a champ".

Christos was fun and informative. We tasted a large number of dishes and went to some unusual shops. We really appreciated his following up with an email listing what we had tasted and even some suggestions for restaurants in Chania.
