Itinerary

  • Ponte 25 de Abril (Pass By)

The main passage that reunites the south with the center of Portugal. Finished in 1966, it shares the project concept with the San Francisco - Oakland Bay Bridge and is one of the most popular and photographed monuments in Lisbon. This is a private tour; all of our suggested timings and stops can be adapted to your preferences or needs; just let us know, and we'll do it.

  • Azaruja

Portugal is the world's largest cork producer. At azaruja you will find several cork transformation factories. Here you will learn about this versatile and sustainable material from which many different items are produced. This is a private tour; all of our suggested timings and stops can be adapted to your preferences or needs; just let us know, and we'll do it.

    45 minutes

  • Evora

Évora center, where you can walk through Giraldo Plaza, taste the local gastronomy, and explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site. With a key role in different eras of the Portuguese monarchy, Evora has an immense legacy of historical references. The Roman temple is believed to have been constructed around the first century A.D. in honor of Augustus, who was venerated as a god during and after his rule, and was built in the main public square of Évora, at the time called Liberalitas Iulia. This is a private tour; all of our suggested timings and stops can be adapted to your preferences or needs; just let us know, and we'll do it.

    1 hour 30 minutes

  • Igreja De Sao Francisco

It is a church of Gothic-Manueline architecture. Built between 1480 and 1510 by masters of Pedraria Martim Lourenço and Pero de Trilho and decorated by the royal painters Francisco Henriques, Jorge Afonso and Garcia Fernandes, it is closely linked to the historical events that marked the period of maritime expansion in Portugal. This is evident in the symbols of the monumental nave of the vaulting vault: the cross of the Order of Christ and the emblems of the founding kings, D. João II and D. Manuel I. According to tradition, Gil Vicente was buried in this church in 1536. This is a private tour; all of our suggested timings and stops can be adapted to your preferences or needs; just let us know, and we'll do it.

    15 minutes

  • Chapel of Bones

The chapel was built in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries in the place of the primitive dormitory of the friars. Its construction was based on the initiative of three Franciscan friars who wanted to provide a better reflection on the brevity of human life. The chapel consists of bones from the graves of the convent church and other churches and cemeteries in the city. The walls and part of the vaults of the chapel are covered with thousands of human bones, which illustrate the idea of the founding monks, expressed in the phrase above the porch of the chapel: We bone that we are here, for your hope. This is a private tour; all of our suggested timings and stops can be adapted to your preferences or needs; just let us know, and we'll do it.

    45 minutes

  • Cathedral of Evora (Se Catedral de Evora)

The Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption, better known as the Cathedral of Évora, or simply Sé de Évora, although begun in 1186 and consecrated in 1204, was only completed in 1250. It is a monument marked by the transition of style Romanesque to Gothic, marked by three majestic ships. A sight to see. This is a private tour; all of our suggested timings and stops can be adapted to your preferences or needs; just let us know, and we'll do it.

    15 minutes

  • Ponte Vasco da Gama (Pass By)

A Tagus River passage where architecture embraces nature. Opened to traffic in 1998, right before the world EXPO 98 in Lisbon, it still has the title of Longest Bridge in Europe, with more than 12 kilometers over the river estuary. This is a private tour; all of our suggested timings and stops can be adapted to your preferences or needs; just let us know, and we'll do it.

Pedro was outstanding. He was gentle and very informative during our tour. We were very comfortable with him and learning a lot during our time together. His friendlyness meant a lot. Next time we are in Portugal. We will ask for him. The wife and I felt really good with him guiding the tour.

A Change in the Visual Landscape

Published on Jun, 2023

Having toured the main visitor attractions to the west of Lisbon on two previous vacations, we opted to see the countryside southeast of the city, so we chose this tour. Within a half hour, we were out of Lisbon. Gone were the hills. The views quickly morphed from city scapes to flat farms and ranches with few towns or people in sight. In less than two hours we were in Évora, a small, charming town with very narrow streets and tight, challenging ninety degree turns. One of the town's highlights was The Capella dos Ossos (the chapel of bones), where the chapel's interior walls are covered and decorated with the skulls and bones of humans. From there, we moved on to a cork products manufacturing facility, where we learned about the harvesting, sorting (into multiple grades) and the transitioning of cork into products ranging from engine gaskets to clothing and furniture.. Our guide, Jorge, then took us to Herdade Das Servas vineyards where we toured their wine production facility and cellars. The best part of the trip, however, was spending time sipping some of their excellent wines, and reflecting upon the day's events with our wonderful guide Jorge.

Enjoyable tour with a great driver

Published on Nov, 2022

We were recommended this company to do this tour and we are so glad that we did. Our driver Jorge was outstanding. He was friendly and informative and a great driver. The whole process of organising the tour with Fabio responding to any questions I had and he made sure that our tour was organised the way we wanted it. We had a great day and highly recommend Yellow Cab TT tours to everyone wanting a positive tour exoerience.

Fantastic!

George made our trip really great! The winery with the food hit the spot for us. I also appreciated the sights of Evora and the cork factory where we bought a bunch of souvenirs.

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing. Jorge pick us up at Bairro Alto Hotel, punctual, respectful and super hospitable. The vehicle was inmaculate, water was supplied and he was very informative throughout the trip to Evora. The Cork Factory was very interesting, it is a family run company with quite interesting history and products. Wines at Sierves were very intriguing and great for dining. Carlos our host was very accomodating and showed us two more wines that were not in the list but were not added to the bill. I LOVE WINES and was very impressed by his knowledge and prime service. Trip to Evora included a short stop for traditional portuguese pork lunch, which was very tasty and spicy and we headed for Evoras tourist attractions. The bone chapel was mesmerizing. We have seen Rome's Bone Chapels but this is bigger and freakier, kids would love it. We got back to the hotel 11 hrs later, which seemed like less but well worth it. I even gave Jorge a bottle of wine as a thank you/fairwell gift. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR TRUE WINE LOVERS AND GLOBETROTTERS.
