Overview

As you were a bohemien, we will start the tour in an Historical Coffee Bar. Here, you will try the Bicerin, the traditional chocolate drink whose recipe was and still is consumed in these '800 century cafès. You will then move on to one of the best chocolate shops to explore how local chocolate makers have worked fine cocoa for our happiness. Sampling a selection of traditional chocolates like Gianduiotto, Cremino and a seasonal pralines. The chocolate tasting will continue and you will try premium dark made with fine cocoa, that is just the 10% of the whole world production. The tastings will be 100% organic and “bean to bar” products. Then you will move on to a wine tasting: you will be led to a wine tastings of 2 iconic white and red, paired with an organic ham and cheese platter. Providing a relaxed course on drinking like a pro sommelier and understand scents behind each wine. Come hungry, thirsty, and excited to learn new things. Get ready to explore the flavors of Turin.

    Piazza Vittorio Veneto is a large and historic square in the center of Turin, surrounded by Baroque buildings, cafes, and restaurants. It is dominated by the Church of Gran Madre di Dio and offers a vibrant and lively atmosphere, especially in the evening.

    We will then move to explore how local chocolatiers have worked cocoa for our happiness. From bean to bar the tasting will be 100% organic and from fine cocoa. Sampling a selection of traditional chocolates like Gianduiotto, Cremino and a seasonal praline. Gianduitto name comes from Gianduja: made by blending finely ground hazelnuts with chocolate, typically milk chocolate, to create a smooth and indulgent treat. It's a recipe originating from Turin, the capital of Italy's Piedmont region. Gianduja has a fascinating history dating back to the 19th century when cocoa was scarce and expensive. The chocolate tasting with continue to try premium dark made with Criollo cocoa. Criollo represents only 10% of the global cocoa production. The live guide will explains stories around each of the tasted food and share recipes and odds.

Fantastic and interesting tour

The bicherin and chocolate were lovely and the wines/cheese/ham delicious. I think what made the tour so good for us (my mum and I) though was the information provided by Federico on Italian history, politics, wine and in fact anything we wanted to discuss. His English was fantastic and the anecdotes and breadth of knowledge made this a really enjoyable part of our time in Turin.

This was a very pleasant tour, all the members in our group of 6 thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our guide Fabeo was excellent! Fabio was very nice and very knowledgable about Turin and its wine and chocolate. We also spent time with and expert chocolatier. We then had some beautiful meats and cheeses to pair with the wine tasting. I would highly recommend this tour
