Overview

The Royal Palace of Turin deserves a visit, if only to find yourself in the same place where the fate of Italy was decided! In the home of Savoy, first kings of Italy, you will be led by a knowledgeable and passionate guide through the Royal apartments, finely decorated and furnished. Admire the wonderful Royal Armoury, a great collection of armours, exhibithed in the Galleria Beaumont and the Royal apartments. In 2 hours in the company of your guide, you will learn too much about the Royal family, Italian uification history and the Holy Shroud!

Meet your guide at the main gate of the Royal Palace, between the horses statues. Your guide will hold a sign with the client's name.

Itinerary

  • Palazzo Reale Di Torino

    Your guide will meet you at the entrance of the Royal Palace to lead you through the history and architecture of the Savoy's home, kings of Italy until 1946.

    You will see the wonderful Rotyal Armoury, which holds a great collection of weapons and renaissance and oriental armours, exhibited at the Galleria Beaumont

  • Cappella della Sacra Sindone

    One interesting detail of the Royal Palace is that it is connected with Cappella della Sindone. The innovative architect, Guarino Guarini designed it to be elevated by one floor, to match the height of the presbytery of the Duomo, which allows direct access from the Royal Apartments. This is the final stop of your tour.

Ask for Sofia! Fantastic tour!

Ask for Sofia first and foremost. The tour was visually spectacular and historically significant in many ways. The palace itself is a viewer’s delight - very close up viewing of the artifacts and treasures. Great experience!

Best guide Alessio and best city Turin

The guide we took Alessio was amazing. He knew everything about the Savoy monarchy including all of the small details. Furthermore he know how to put the information into perspective. When we entered the palace he told us the history as if the king were waiting for us. This was crucial as there were so many rooms one needed to pass to view the king. The tour guide took his time with us and explained everything so we could understand everything. Thank you so much Alessio. Just a FYI for anybody visiting Turin: you need at least 1 week. We plan on coming back to book Alessio and visit all of the palazzos.

We had such a fantastic time! We didn't know what to anticipate for the tour, but we were so happy we did this! Our guide was AMAZING--knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Her English speaking skills were strong, and she even customized the experience for us, as I had a keen interest in the Holy Shroud. So she made sure we spent a lot of time in the Chapel and even directed us to where we could see a replica and where the original is now kept. This was worth the cost, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Turin.
