1. Catedral do Porto This local here is iron age, we´ll time travel throughout time and appreciatte once again the beauty of the landscape. 10 minutes

2. Sao Bento Railway Station Pulsating, vibrant, home of some of the finer azulejos in town. 5 minutes

3. Antiga Cadeia da Relacao The old city jail, home of the most famous portuguese love story. 1 minute

4. Torre dos Clerigos Ex-libris da cidade, assinado por Nasoni. 3 minutes

5. Livraria Lello "The most beautiful bookstore in the world" 3 minutes

6. Miguel Bombarda Art Block From the street to the galleries, it's the place for art. 2 minutes

7. Museu Nacional Soares dos Reis Portuguese art home. 3 minutes

8. Jardim Municipal do Horto das Virtudes A creek, a jewish neighbourhood, a battle field, one of the most peculiar gardens in town. 5 minutes

9. Praca Da Ribeira The postcard picture spot, here we can stop to recharge energies, and enjoy the beauty of this former market. 10 minutes

10. Luis I Bridge The most iconic bridge of the city, known in Portugal as the city of bridges, we'll cross it, and talk about it's stories. 5 minutes

11. Praca da Batalha From here, we'll reach the limit of the old walls, and we'll be finishing the basic tour, any other curiosities, can be planned from this spot. 3 minutes

12. Teatro Nacional Sao Joao The oldest Theater in town. 2 minutes

13. Cafe Majestic The luxurious café that has queues to get in. Let's go through it. This one, JK Rowling did confirmed to have been there. 1 minute

14. Mercado do Bolhao The recently renewed City Market, home of the most genuine products and people working on the stands. We can eat, drink and shop. 20 minutes

15. Monumento Almeida Garrett One of the most iconic writers of Porto, names the City Hall building square. 5 minutes

16. Praca da Republica An historical square of town, a crucial spot to get to understand differetiation cultural aspects of locals 3 minutes

17. Douro River The river is essential to the life of the city, and on the origin of it's history.

Amazing experience

We sent a very interesting day with Rui. He was very well informed and made the walking tour very comfortable in a city like Porto. He took us for a local wine tasting and introduced us to a delicious local snack. Being born and brought up in Porto, He knew undisclosed locations. Thank you Rui and will surely reach out to you when we are in Porto again

We had an absolutely delightful time with Rui! From the moment we met him on our first day in Porto, he set the tone for the day with his playful jest, “I’m by the clock tower.” A perfect icebreaker to begin our adventure! Rui guided us on a leisurely stroll through Porto, weaving tales of the many illustrious writers and historical figures who had once walked the same streets. With each step, he vividly recounted the stories of influential political figures and their lasting impact on the city. Rui’s passion for the arts, the rich history of Porto, and his deep love for Portugal shone through in every anecdote. By the end of the day, we felt as if we had spent time with an old friend, sharing laughter and uncovering the hidden gems of the city. We eagerly look forward to reconnecting with Rui for another day of exploration and discovery when we return!

We had the most amazing day in beautiful Porto with Rui! He is super knowledgeable about his city and the history. He took us to his favourite places with best views and delicious authentic food. We saw all the highlights of Porto and Rui sent great recommendations for the rest of our trip. Rui went above and beyond to make sure and not only make the most of our tour with him, but also the rest of our trip to Portugal. We strongly recommend his tour!
