Overview

Mexican Gastronomy was recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in November 2010, by UNESCO. For me, it is a pleasure to show part of the Mexican cultural heritage; based on traditional recipes with a contemporary twist. If travelers so wish, they are taken on a tour of the local market where they can view fresh produce at its best. We will teach them to make the most traditional dishes of Mexican cuisine, where they will be able to use techniques inherited from generations.

We had an excellent time! Sam had everything prepped in advance and we went straight to chopping and cooking. He was patient and made it easy to prepare a beautiful meal.

Sam was fun and I enjoyed learning about Mexican cooking. It’s a very nice setting in his bed and breakfast. My girlfriend joined us to sample my cooking.

Sam did a great job! We made a delicious meal and had a blast at the same time! The recipes were for things that I would have never felt comfortable trying at home. Sam was kind, helpful and very knowledgeable about making simple ingredients into something amazing! The pink mole was delicious!

Sam made our stay in San Miguel extra memorable. He led two moms, a 21-year-old, and a 12-year-old in a mouth watering cooking class. He made it fun for every single member in our group. He taught us how to incorporate European flavors into more traditional Mexican food and also catered to the vegetarian in our group. Sam’s class was by far our favorite activity during our visit.
