Itinerary

  • Porto (Pass By)

    Early in the Morning your guide will pick you from your accommodation on a confortable vehicle and will drive you up north, crossing the boarder and entering Spain on the way to Santiago de Compostela. During this journey, the guide will give you insights and information regarding the North of Portugal, the Spanish region of Galicia, Santiago de Compostela, St.James and about the path of Saint James.

  • Santiago de Compostela

    Arriving to Santiago 2h30m after leaving Porto, the guide will show you the historical center of Santiago and take you to the entrance of Santiago Cathedral. Then you will have free time to visit the inside of the cathedral on your own and to attend to a mass or check the "Botafumeiro" celebration.

  • Santiago de Compostela. Casco Historico

    On the historical centre of Santiago, on a traditional tapas restaurant a full gastronomic experience will be served! Including multiple Spanish tapas and drinks you will be able to try some of the local special dishes.

    On the way to Portugal, before the return to Porto, we will do one stop at the boarder, at Valença do Minho. An historical village in Portugal, famous by its fortness "Vauban" style! It has many local shops where you will be able to check and buy some local art and crafts.

    Around 6PM, your guide will leave you at your accommodation or any desire location in Porto city.

Wonderful trip with Mario Pinto our guide who was very good! Trip to Santiago de Compostela was beautiful and so much to see and do. Our included lunch was delicious and lots of food! The visit to Valenca was so nice it is a beautiful and unique place. Don’t miss this tour specially if you get Mario!

It’s a very comprehensive tour of Santiago de Compostela and Valenca de minho. We availed of the tour package with lunch. It’s better to do the tour without lunch, so that you’d have more time to go around Santiago. The lunch wasn’t really very special either. It was good, but it was okay and we could’ve done without it. If you want to go to the crypt of St. james the apostle, make sure to allot some time because there’s a line going in. Valença do minho is a small town on the border of Spain and Portugal that offers a nice view of the Spanish countryside. Our tour guide Paulo was very knowledgeable about the place and our driver Sergio was excellent. All in all, it’s a tour worth booking.
