Overview

Our 20-minute basic flight will take you over the splendor of the greatest city in the U.S. - San Francisco! On this flight you will take off from our sea base in the lovely bay-side village of Sausalito just across the Golden Gate Bridge.

Meeting points

Flight departs from the San Francisco Seaplane base in Mill Valley. From the Golden Gate Bridge: Head North on Highway 101. Pass all the Sausalito exits and continue north on 'Waldo Grade'/101 N which will bring you down to sea level. Take the Muir Woods, Stinson Beach, Hwy 1 exit. Then take the first right on Pohono and then another right on Bollinas. Drive down to the end of the road to the parking lot and you will see the San Francisco Seaplane Tours office with the big neon red 'Open' sign. From 101 South: Take the Stinson Beach, Hwy 1 exit and when you get to the stop light turn right and go underneath the freeway. Take your first left on Pohono and then a right on Bollinas. Drive down to the end of the road to the parking lot and you will see the San Francisco Seaplane Tours office with the big neon red 'Open' sign.

A fantastic sea plane trip around the San Francisco Bay, with a flyover of the Golden Gate Bridge and the city. Exceptionally friendly staff and pilot. Highly recommended.

Float Plane Tour

Great view of Sausalito, San Francisco Bay and the city. You fly along the coast at about 1000’ looking at the sites then you gain a little altitude and go across the city viewing Golden Gate Park and the Presidio. You end up South of the Golden Gate Bridge over the Pacific Ocean. On the way back home you fly directly over the bridge and back to base. On a clear day it is a pretty spectacular 30 minutes.

The beauty of San Francisco could be better appreciated from this tour. Sea plane landing was a memorable one - better than any commercial airplane landing!! Very enthusiastic staff !!
