Venture north over the Golden Gate Bridge to an isolated canyon filled with ancient coastal redwood trees, also known as Muir Woods National Monument. Enjoy solitude and peace, through the cool, moist air, as you stroll through 1000-year-old trees towering 260 feet tall. Experience the awe and wonder as you are treated through Northern California’s signature fog, while you wander in and out of the Mother Nature’s redwood alleyways. The canopy of coastal redwoods soaring above will stimulate all of your senses as you journey through a piece of ancient California history. You will never forget the crisp, fresh redwood fragrance that will surround you on your journey to the majestic Muir Woods National Monument. A peaceful day out from SF with a great tour operator

I went on a free day after a work trip so travelled alone but met a few other friendly solo travellers. Our driver Patrick gave us so much information and was friendly and funny. He really worked hard to give us the best time. The weather wasn't great but once we were in the woods it didn't matter. In fact it was very peaceful listening to the rain while walking sheltered under the tree tops. I got the ferry back from Sausalito which is a good add on. The only thing I would change would be to have an extra 30 mins in the woods. It was a little too short.

James was our tour guide and was absolutely outstanding. Not only did he accommodate photo stops, he was so informative. His passion and knowledge was more than we had hoped for. Absolute value for money and a wonderful experience .

Wonderful time spent in Muir Woods, and the driver James was such an pleasure and made the trip informative and pleasant. I almost didn’t make it back to the bus on time because I hiked up the mountain not realizing how far it was. Got back to the bus with about two minutes to spare and really had to hustle. Something to think about if you’d rather take your time.
