Overview

Brave San Francisco’s dark and ghostly past on a real ghost hunt down historic alleys. You’ll use modern ghost hunting gear, including your own EMF detector during the tour. After meeting near the Transamerica Pyramid, your ghost hunter guide escorts you down haunted alleys, through mysterious neighborhoods, and around historic street corners. Stand atop old Gold Rush cemeteries, learn of paranormal activity following mysterious deaths, visit the site of infamous brothels, hear about Gold Rush–era hauntings, and how Chinatown’s gang wars changed the city. But it's not “just a ghost tour” -- this tour includes tales of unexplained deaths, scandalous murders, the old red light district and more... Children are welcome at your discretion — the tour does include some talk of violence and the macabre, but is generally considered family-friendly. This tour can accommodate wheelchairs and strollers, but there will be two moderate hills -- please inquire if you have concerns.

This was an awesome experience and my teenage daughters loved it! Jamie was fun and knowledgeable and very respectful, considering the sensitive history of the area.

Stop what you are doing and book this tour right now. I could give many reasons for suggesting this tour, but it all comes down to Jamie. My wife and I are painfully introverted, but were drawn to San Francisco's The Haunt. Jamie introduced himself and he felt like an old friend we'd known for years. He made us feel like locals and engaged us wonderfully. He had knowledge and respect for all things ghostly. I would take this tour purely for the history and stories he told us regarding San Francisco's varied and interesting past. It was purely a bonus to commune with the spirits and feel their presence. I'd give The Haunt SF Ghost Tours an incredible 5/5 stars and Jamie an incredible 100/5 stars for his passion, knowledge, and incredibly welcoming and warm personality.

Wow! This tour was absolutely amazing! Not only was it a truly fun spooky experience, but it was super educational and informative. Jamie was our tour guide and he was so fun and professional. You could tell that he enjoyed his job and was so knowledgeable about San Francisco’s history, especially the scary history! We even had some spirit communication! The tour felt safe and we had a wonderful time. This was my favorite part of our San Francisco trip! Thank you to The Haunt for a great time! Highly recommend!

It was so much fun. The use of the ghost hunting paraphernalia was awesome. We have never experienced anything before like we did in this tour and we have taken many ghost tours all over the world.
