Clear filterOstia Antica private tour with Katie
Published on Jan, 2025
I'm so glad I booked a private tour of the Ostia Antica archeology site with Eyes of Rome instead of going on my own—I learned so much more having someone there to explain what I was looking at . Katie was super knowledgeable and passionate about Roman history and architecture, and it made the visit super enjoyable. She was patient with my dumb questions and brought the whole site to life. If you enjoy Roman ruins and history, make sure to put Ostia Antica on your list and ask for Katie.
Rome revisited with Rosalba
Published on Apr, 2024
Having vistited with my family over Easter, and thoroughly enjoying the tour of the Vatican museums with expert tour guide Rosalba, it was such a treat to return three weeks later with work colleagues. I was keen to secure Rosalba also for this tour of places and sites in the historical centre. We got to see and hear about the scientists, the artists, sculptors, lovers, rulers, tyrants, buildings, and many, many fascinating stories of ancient and renaissance Rome, all told with insight, detail and nerve by Rosalba. Just as last time, we were so much the wiser after the tour, and so completely immersed in the history of this wonderful city. Thanks for making my day once again Rosalba!

A great two days in Rome with the extended family!
Published on Jan, 2022
Eyes of Rome was great to work with scheduling private tours of the Vatican and Colosseum to make the most of our two days in Rome. Denis, our guide, was wonderful to spend the two days with and was attentive and made sure our entire group of 10 (spread across three generations) was doing well. He was great to talk with and full of information that made the history around us come alive. I would also recommend adding a visit to Domus Aurea to your day at the Colosseum to be able to walk through a Roman Palace after seeing the ruins of the Forum.
