Overview

Sail through the Ria Formosa Natural Park and visit islands. Join us in a sightseeing cruise from Faro, up to 11 people. Journey through the Ria Formosa channels on a comfortable catamaran and make stops at the islands of Farol and Deserta. The tour is operated by a multilingual guide. From April until the change of clocks on last Saturday of October, the tour lasts for 3,5 hours. The rest of the year, the tour lasts for 3 hours.

    Once on the Farol island, you´ll see a different reallity! The small and typical houses built over the sand and the rustic streets all over the island. The beach is also the best you can find in the region. You can find also a nice beach bar to drink something before the return!

The boat trip was fun from start to finish. Everyone on the trip was friendly and I met some lovely people. We didn't have a lot of time on the 2 islands but it was still a great trip to see more of the area. The sun was shining and Antonio was good fun. Really appreciate it, thank you!

I had a fantastic experience on the boat trip from Faro to Desert Island! Visiting during the low season was a bonus, as it wasn’t too crowded, making the journey feel more personal and relaxing. The boat driver was absolutely lovely—friendly, chatty, and welcoming. They made the trip even more enjoyable by sharing interesting tidbits and engaging in great conversation. It was also a wonderful opportunity to meet and connect with other travelers. Everyone was so pleasant, which added to the overall experience. The morning was perfectly spent cruising through the peaceful waters, enjoying the beautiful November weather. The trip felt like a serene escape from the usual bustle, and Desert Island was truly a gem to visit. One small suggestion would be to include an extra break for a delicious fish lunch—it would perfectly complement the experience. Nonetheless, it was definitely worth it, and I highly recommend this boat trip for anyone looking to explore the Faro coastline!

The tour guide and driver Chico knew so much about the wildlife the natural park your was so interesting. Then the islands were beautiful too, we wanted to stay longer! Highly recommended.

One of the best tours I have been on. Francisco (Chico) was an amazing guide with great presence, information and a real deep understanding of the system and the history. Not every day you get marine biologists to lead your tour in a marine paradise. Went in the three hour tour!! Definitely go!!!
