Rome (Pass By)

Discover and capture the Historic and ancient center of Rome authentically, focusing on Travel, Street, and Portrait Photography. All led by Marco Bulgarelli - A Local Award-Winning Photographer.
Piazza Venezia / Ancient City

Meeting point. Guidelines to build a photography project and a short introduction to travel, portrait, and street photography.

Foro Romano

We will shoot all the Roman Forums following an alternative way.

5 minutes
Monumento a Vittorio Emanuele II

We will shoot the Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II from many different angles, some classic and some unusual.

30 minutes
The Old Jewish Quarter

We'll shoot the Jewish neighborhood typical daily life.

40 minutes
Piazza del Campidoglio

We will shoot the Capitoline Hill and surroundings, where we’ll find amazing sights and glimpses.

30 minutes
Campo De' Fiori

We will shoot Campo de' Fiori and surroundings.

40 minutes
Mercati di Traiano - Museo dei Fori Imperiali

We will shoot the Trajan's market from various angles.

Teatro di Marcello

We will shoot the Theatre of Marcellus.

Your partner/friend can accompany you for free (non-photographer).
For beginners, amateurs and advanced photographers with a camera or smartphone
You can personalize the itinerary including Trevi’s Fountain, Spanish steps, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Castel Sant’ Angelo, and St. Peter (Vatican), along the river. It is also available the churches tour.
If it rains it’s even better, there’s more poetry
Minimum age is 12 years
Afternoon tour start time could change, depending on the sunset time
Comfortable shoes and a small bottle of water are recommended
During the tour we can stop for gelato, pizza or coffee at any time
You can change the date of the tour/workshop without additional costs

We had a great experience touring New York City with Jonathan. He's a great tour guide and he made it very memorable and enjoyable. Street photography in Rome

A fantastic afternoon with Marco as he taught, demonstrated and assisted in taking photos of Rome. I was interested to learn how to capture a city’s personality through street photography rather than through the standard post card photos I always take. I got some great photos. And look forward to using my new skills on future vacations. Marco was very skilled abd patient. Highly recommended.

An exceptional experience

Our morning session with Marco was exceptional. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable but also he is a very good teacher. He took us to several spots around Rome where we could practice taking pictures and he would critique them and offer suggestions on how to take a better photo. A very enjoyable day with a very nice man.

Marco was extremely professional and passionate about photography and passing on his expertise. He spent time getting to know exactly what I was interested in learning and taught me how to utilize my camera settings to improve the focus, clarity and composition of my images. He provided an honest critique of the images, the techniques I had under control and those that would improve with time and practice. I highly recommend Marco if you are interested in learning about photography in an unforgettable setting.

Amazing Photo Tour with Marco!

My wife and I had a fantastic photography tour in Rome with Marco. He is very experienced and knowledgeable in photography and photographic techniques. I was shooting medium format with a Fujiflim GFX 100S and my wife was shooting with her phone camera (Samsung Note 9). Marco taught my wife how to better utilize her phone camera as well as improve her photographic compositions and techniques. He helped me understand some of the unique aspects of shooting with medium format. We did the combined day and night photo tour, and we highly recommend that tour so you can practice your techniques during the day to be prepared to take some beautiful photos at blue hour and nighttime. Marco has lived nearly his whole life in Rome, so he knows some great locations for photos that tourists will never know about. We give Marco our highest recommendation!

Good time and great photos

Marco was full of professional tips that have improved my photography. We spent time with him on a very cold day, yet had so much fun going to the places he shared with us. He told us about Gigetto, a wonderful eatery where we had a delicious lunch (the fried artichokes are amazing).
