Overview

I run a small private tours company so i will be your guide and driver i will show you the area local style. from Hvölsvöllur we will drive to the roots of Hekla and drive to Landmannahellir after the stop there we will continue to Landmannalaugar and hike there and you can go the geothermal pool if u bring swim suite and a towel. on the way back we will stop at waterfalls and more

  • Landmannalaugar

    from hvolsvöllur it is 2,5 hour drive to landmannalaugar we will drive around the volcano Hekla on our way to Landmannahellir and then continu to Landmannalaugar here we can hike around the area ,you can go to the geothermal pool if you bring swimsuit and towel.on the way back we will stop at Hnausa pollur and Þjófafoss

    The waterfall Þjófafoss is part of the Þjórsá river that stretches from the Icelandic Highland all the way to the south shore in the Southern Region in Iceland. Here we will stop and take a look at this beautiful waterfall. This is a good place to take pictures and rest.

Fun Day with Fred (Freysteinn) in Landmannalaugar

Awesome trip with Fred(Freysteinn) to Landmannalaugar for our family! We were very comfortable in his truck, never had to worry about safety and besides not even taking the chance of messing up a rental car on the F roads, the best part of all was learning so much about Iceland! We loved hearing Fred’s hilarious stories about his childhood as he grew up right in this area that we toured! We talked about anything and everything throughout the day and it felt like we were being escorted around by an old friend! What a different feeling than if we had joined a random group. The sights were beautiful of course, but having the chance to talk all day with someone who grew up in the area, is warm, funny, and such a great conversationalist made this a dream day for all of us!

Freysteinn is an amazing tour guide! A true Icelandic native, we spent the day sightseeing and learning about life in Iceland. We went through rivers to areas you cannot go without a guide and hiked, saw sights and had a throughly enjoyable and unforgettable day! He even sang us a Viking song while we visited a river running through a cave. Spoiler alert- he has an amazing voice.
