Overview

On this tour you'll be taken to one of the two top viewing spots where you can watch the sunrise over Madeira island. We've selected Pico do Arieiro (up in the mountains) or Ponta de São Lourenço (down by the ocean) as the places where you can experience this event. Our guide will select the best spot depending on the day's weather and viewing conditions and then drive you to a quiet place where you can marvel at the magnificent experience that is the sunrise in Madeira. You'll also be presented with some coffee and served some light snacks.

At the bus stop near the cable-car station in the "Old Town" part of Funchal

Pickup Details

We can arrange for pickups at other locations in the Funchal area as long as there's a known reference point and a place where our vehicle can safely stop for some minutes without blocking any roads or traffic. Our staff will contact you with the most accurate time for your pickup. Pickups outside the Funchal area are available (at extra cost). Please contact us for advice on the best pickup for you according to your location/accommodation.

What To Expect

1. Pico do Arieiro Pico do Arieiro is the third highest peak in Madeira island and the highest one that is reachable by vehicle. It is one of the alternatives (depending on the weather) where we can go and see the sunrise. 1 hour

2. Ponta de Sao Lourenco Ponta de São Lourenço is the easternmost point in Madeira island. It is one of the alternatives (depending of the weather) where we can go and see the sunrise. 1 hour
