Knossos! What an enchanting place! This is simply a must visit site in Crete if history, culture, and myth are of any interest to you at all. Hire a guide to help bring the place to life. Akriza (not sure of spelling) led a wonderful tour. Great pacing. Excellent background. Shared highlights of ongoing research into archeology and the language and symbols found at Knossos. Shared wonderful pictures of her own to more fully bring the building to life.
