Our full day Kanazawa tour with Nozomi was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. Nozomi's enthusiasm and extensive knowledge of Kanazawa and Japanese culture greatly enriched our visit. We feel that we each absorbed a little kernel of the peaceful mindfulness of such a beautiful country

Great day out with super guide and perfect weather

A thoroughly enjoyable day visiting the site of the castle and the mossy Kenrokuen gardens which were unreal, then two artisan demonstrations by one of the top kimono artists and then a trip into the old town - Tetsuro was able to to bring the place alive with stories from his childhood

Our guide, Nozomi Kondo, was excellent and immediately responsive to our special interests. Her knowledge seemed endless. Her lively presentation was filled with fascinating facts, a broad perspective, candor, and humor. From the samurai culture to the grace of the geisha; from the peace of gardens to the delights of the market and table, she led us on an engaging and charming journey through Kanazawa.

If you are interested in a full day tour out of the city of Kanazawa, please consider a trip up into their mountain region. Arrange a trip to...Shirakawa -go, Gokoyama & Takayama. Our driver Junpei Kobayashi from Tour Kanazawa was very professional and polite. His provided us with some history of each location. He walked along with us on a few occasions. With that said, most of these areas are independent types of places that you can enjoy by walking around and enjoying the beautiful scenery. The day ended at a famous shopping area. Please know it's a long but rewarding day to visit these areas!!
