Bus ride and historic villages

A great experience for my family of 4 (11 and 13 yr old boys). The bus ride was enjoyable as well, seeing the scenery and learning about the people and area from the guide and translator was a highlight. Our tour operator was very well organized, and we seemed to be a little ahead of the other tour groups. The views at the villages were beautiful. We had enough time at each place to wander solo and see what we wanted bassed on helpful tips provided ahead of arrival from our guide. I really enjoyed the lunch, my family found it 'an experience'.

Our guide was very helpful and cheerful, giving us excellent directions for what to do. We loved both of the villages and had a wonderful meal which was included.

Great day, it was well organised with plenty of time to visit the two sites. Traditional Japanese lunch was very nice and got to meet lots of other travellers. Got the shuttle bus up to the observatory to take photos and then walked back down to village, walk takes about 20 minutes but gentle downhill stroll.

The guides are amazing! One of the best tours I had in english while in Japan. During the bus trip you will ear lots of facts about the places you are passing by. Besides shirikawa go (which is crowded with tourists), the second village is empty of people and beautyfull. Very worth this trip that covers both villages. Also the meal was very good and inside a traditional restaurant of shirikawa-go. Totally recommend this tour.
