Excellent guided tour

Hiroshima-guided walking tour of the memorial

We had a fantastic guided tour with Alex. Our time was short ( 3 hours) and Alex was there at the station to pick us up and we then started our tour. Alex was very knowledgeable and showed us a lot of things that we would not have seen otherwise especially the nearby school museum. I say this as there were hardly any tourists here who I guess were only taken to “ popular” sites. It was quite an emotional and moving tour and Alex’s thoughtful insights were fascinating. I just wish we had more time exploring Hiroshima with Alex. I wholeheartedly recommend Alex to anyone wanting to know about Hiroshima rather than just going to photo spots. I would definitely book a tour with him again if I went again. Thank you Alex for looking after us and giving us an experience of a lifetime.

Personalised tour of Hiroshima and Miyajima

Yesterday my family of 5 went on a private tour with Alex and I highly recommend him. Our first stop was Hiroshima and he showed us some unique places that really brought to life the history of the city. He also shared with us his personal connection to this historic event. We then traveled to Miyajima and again saw a perspective of the island somewhat away from the tourists which was perfect for us. He also made it fun for our teen and adult children, engaging with them and getting to know them. Thanks Alex for a memorable day.

A Memorable Day

We spent a memorable day with Alex today. Everyone knows the basic facts about Hiroshima but today's visit made it very real. The tour was very thorough, including the Atomic Bomb Dome, the Peace Memorial Park, the Children's Peace Monument and an extended visit to the Peace Memorial Museum. We were able to take as much time as we needed and Alex's explanations were informative and respectful. After a great lunch we took the ferry to Miyajima and saw the Torii gates and Itsukushima shrine. Visiting Hiroshima is a "must see" when you go to Japan and I would definitely recommend seeing it with Alex.
