  • Atomic Bomb Dome

    When Japan joined the UNESCO World Heritage Convention in 1992, people including a-bombed survivors began to raise their voice in support of making the A-bomb Dome a World Heritage Site. A national campaign to collect signatures conducted by the citizens of Hiroshima was a success, and it was designated as a national historical site in June 1995 and registered on the list of World Heritage Sites in 1996 as a symbol calling for the abolition of nuclear weapons and for world peace.

  • Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park

    ā€»If Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum is closed, we will take you to visit Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims instead. On August 6, 1949, with enactment of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial City Construction Law, it was decided that the entire Nakajima District would be devoted to "peace memorial facilities," and that was the beginning of what is now Peace Memorial Park. The park covers approximately 122,100 square meters. It was designed by Kenzo Tange, a professor at Tokyo University, and three others, whose proposal was selected through a design competition that drew 145 proposals. At the south edge of the park is a line of three buildings: the East Building and the Main Building of the Peace Memorial Museum, and the International Conference Center Hiroshima.

  • Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum

    Peace Memorial Museum. Consisting of two buildings, the museum surveys the history of Hiroshima and the advent of the nuclear bomb. Its main focus though is on the events of August 6: the dropping of the bomb and its outcome in human suffering. The personal details displayed are quite upsetting and serve to remind that we should not take peace for granted. ā€»If Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum is closed, we will take you to visit Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims instead.

  • Itsukushima Shrine Torii

    The shrine is located in a small inlet, while the torii gate is set out in the Seto Inland Sea. Paths lead around the inlet, and visitors enjoy walking along them while looking out onto the sea. After sunset, the shrine and the torii gate are illuminated daily until 23:00, providing a perfect backdrop for ryokan guests to enjoy an evening walk in yukata and geta sandals. It is not possible to enter the shrine after sunset though. 1 hour is lunch time . The mid-movement time is about 30 minutes.

Wonderful Day Time in Hiroshima

The tour guide was very knowledgeable. Each stop was visited on time. Lunch was delicious. The visit to Mishima Island was wonderful. The tour gave plenty time there. The scenery and the Shito Shine were beautiful. The street food and shopping district were very interesting

Great tour with a guide who speaks good English. Also they accommodated vegetarian meal for us. Would have loved more ti m at the Hiroshima museum

We had a great time. Our guide is a Japanese and we called him Tom. He gave us trivias about the Bomb dome, Miyajima, Itsukushima Jinja and Hiroshima along the way and we enjoyed that. The bus did not have toilet but the meeting point (train station) and each location was within 1 hr 30 mins, so, no worry about the need to use a restroom.

A good mix of activity. Visited Hiroshima Peace Park and Miyajima Island. The lunch provided was delicious. Bus was not too crowded.
