Overview

Osaka Bay Area Tour,Undiscovered by Tourists. The well-developed public transportation system of Osaka makes it easy and convenient to get around, but the most convenient way to get around is by bicycle. Especially in this bay area, public transportation is not well developed, so ordinary tourists rarely enter the area. The entire tour is about 30 kilometers, cycling from reclaimed land to reclaimed land, on high bridges and ferries over canals, passing through factories, warehouses and residential areas, allowing you to enjoy the Osaka you have never seen before. From each bridge, you can enjoy the entire city of Osaka from different angles. Not a tourist destination, but a new tourist destination. Everything is easy with the YAMAHA E-Assist bike. A brief history of Osaka using old maps Your guide is a professional photographer and can even take pictures of you with your cell phone.

Itinerary

  • Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine

It is one of the oldest shrines in Japan with a history of nearly 2,000 years. It enshrines the three gods of the sea and the building is designated as a Japanese national treasure. It is also one of the birthplaces of Osaka Bay. The history of Osaka will be explained using an old map while walking around the shrine grounds.

    30 minutes

  • Shinkizugawa Bridge

From the bridge, the view toward Tennoji and the Ikoma Mountains in the background is excellent. Enjoy the descent of the three-stage loop bridge. It is also a great place to take pictures. With a central span of 305 m and a length of 2.4 km, the bridge was the longest arch bridge in Japan at the time of its completion and the 14th largest in the world.

    20 minutes

  • Nakayama Steel (Pass By)

We pass through the factory district used in Ridley Scott's film Black Rain, which is filmed in Osaka and New York City.

  • Funamachi Ferry Facilities

The bridge is located almost in the middle of the bay area and offers a 360-degree view of the entire Osaka city area. A bridge that allows ships to pass through a channel with a height of 47m above the water surface and a width of 100m at the mouth of the Shirinashi River. Both ends of the bridge have a steep slope of 6.9%, and it is also known for the beautiful night view of Osaka city from the top of the bridge.

Passing the aquariumļ¼ˆKaiyukan), Ferris wheel and Tadao Ando architecture, we will take a break at Tempozan. It is famous for cherry blossoms in the spring time. The highway over the Aji River is also magnificent. USJ is on the other side of the river. A Very Different Osaka Experience (In a Good Way!)

Published on Sep, 2024

This bike tour of the Osaka Bay Area was awesome and so much fun! Highly recommended!!! Banri-san is an incredible guide, extremely knowledgeable of the area and it's history. He is also very kind and patient. I hadn't ridden a bike in years so it took a bit to get used to the E-bike but I got the hang of it by the end thanks to his help. We had a lot of great conversations over the course of the tour, he's got a great sense of humor! The route is very interesting. It takes you through parts of Osaka you wouldn't ever go to as a tourist. Heck, even a lot of locals wouldn't normally pass through some of these areas. Riding a bike on all those bridges, taking in the sights of the city from all those different angles, crossing the river on tiny ferries, it was an amazing experience. It was extremely sunny and hot on the day of my tour, so if you decide to book it on such a day like I did, make sure you wear UV protection, a tight hat so it doesn't get blown off on the bridges, and drink plenty of fluids. Despite the heat, I still had a wonderful time, and I would definitely book this tour again just to get to ride the route again. Thank you, Banri-san! I had a blast!

The amazing e-bike Osaka tour

Published on Jan, 2024

It was super fun to explore some ā€œunknown Osaka spotsā€ with a very local tour guide. The tour was about 5 hours long and we went to Sumiyoshi-Taishaā›©ļø, the lowest mountain in Japanā›°ļø and some beautiful bridges with e-bike. Most places are not on guide books or websites + the guide really knows about the history of Osaka and he is a great photo/videographer (thanks for that!!). I couldnā€™t get to such an amazing sceneries just by myself and I kinda felt like ā€œI experienced the real Osakaā€ and itā€™s so fresh! Thank you for the opportunity to meet some local stuff and tips about deep Osaka:)

Hi Osaka

Banri, my guide, is an experienced guy on cycling. He taught me full of patience and smile all the time when I was stupid handling the bike upon start. The route he designed is great that brought me to another face of Osaka, quiet, beautiful. Thanks Banri, wish to join you in another surprise route.

Amazing cycling experience! We got to explore interesting areas of Osaka such as the neighbourhood district, local playgrounds and visited cultural sites as well. Our guide Banri was so patient and helpful in guiding us during the whole cycling experience! Would definitely recommend!

Great tour!!!

Great ride around bridges in Kyoto, the e bikes are brand new, in great conditions. Banri was very nice, happy to answer all of your questions about food, attractions, etc. The view from bridges are unique as you cannot get it from any where else considering there is no helicopter tour for Kyoto. The ferry was special too. Very happy with the tour :)
