Overview

* Please note this trip has a minimum of 2pp or more to operate. What better way to see the desert than from the seat of your own kayak. Your guide will lead you through canyons and cliffsides on Saguaro Lake to some of the most scenic desert landscapes to be found.

Meeting points

Driving down Stewart Mountain Rd you will be going past Peraclub Housing, Horse Corral/Stables and a partially closed gate. Go around the gate and past the Main Lodge and park in the large dirt lot on the right near the dam. After parking, come to the Office Window with the yellow kayak paddle.

End point

This activity ends back at the meeting point.

    Explore Saguaro Lake! Whether you’re a beginner or expert you can experience the beautiful lakes of Arizona! You will be given an orientation of basic safety and paddling instruction. After that your guide will take you to see the beautiful scenery of where the desert meets the water!

Perfect day with a terrific guide!

Absolutely a must do! We got great guidance before we got onto the river with all the instructions we needed to know to have a great day on the water. Beautiful scenery along with wild horses in the river made it truly magical! It was a perfect end to our vacation.

Super Rad Experience

Amazing experience from start to finish. My gf and I received really clear instructions for arrival. Upon arriving, we checked in and stopped by the gift shop. Met some really kind people before a quick orientation. Then we were provided kayaks and sent on our way. Aside from the absolutely breathtaking views, We were able to kayak past 30 or 40 horses that were drinking from the river. We also saw a number of different varieties of fish and a bald eagle. At no point were the rapids “scary” or treacherous. It was my girlfriend’s first time kayaking, and she had no problem. A fellow kayaker did flip at one point (just after the overhead bridge/overpass) but had no trouble recovering due to the water being only about 4 feet. A van and trailer picked us up downstream and transported us back to camp in about 10 minutes. Everyone we met was incredibly kind. All in all, it was an amazing experience and we can’t wait to return w/family.

What a fantastic experience. The crew was friendly, on-time, the ranch was a nice place to meet, the crew was very attentive and efficient. Overall our experience was excellent and I can't wait to go again.

Absolutely loved this experience, got to see wild horses in the river and a couple of long horns, salmon and a couple of river otters. The staff were amazing and friendly, shout out to John for showing us the old ranch dining room and fireplace.
