Itinerary

  • Pompeii Archaeological Park (Pass By)

    Take the chance to visit in only 2 hours the ruins of the Roman city of Pompeii, the vast archaeological area under the UNESCO patronage.

  • Foro de Pompeya (Pass By)

    The Forum was the centre of Pompeii when it was first founded and even after the city's enlargement, when it could hardly be called 'central', it remained the focus of political, economic and religious life.

  • Stabian Baths (Terme Stabiane) (Pass By)

    The Stabian Baths take their name from the fact that they lie at the intersection of the Via Stabiana and the Via dell'Abbondanza. They are the oldest baths in Pompeii and four different building phases can be identified.

  • Tempio di Giove Capitolino (Pass By)

    The Temple of Jupiter, dedicated to the Capitoline triad of Jupiter, Juno and Minerva, dominates the north side of the Forum.

  • Macellum (Pass By)

    The Macellum, or food market, stands in the north-east corner of the Forum. The complex, built in the imperial age as a covered market, had a large number of shops on its periphery on the Via degli Augustali and on the Forum as well as on the inside under a colonnade around its large internal court.

  • Duomo di Sant'Andrea (Pass By)

    The St. Andrew Cathedral is a medieval Roman Catholic cathedral in the Piazza del Duomo in Amalfi downtown.

Day Trip on the Amalfi Coast

Our driver Achilles was five star. He picked us up in a Spacious Mercedes van. He spoke fluent English and as soon as we started the trip from the Grand Hotel Santa Lucia he told us about historical sites of Napoli as we drove past them. He also took the port shortcut which saved a lot of time. The drive along the Amalfi coast is very narrow and winding and he always asked it everyone was okay and said just let him know and he’ll stop. Our first stop was Sorrento and he gave a great explanation of the city and its people. He was told us what to see when we stopped to walk around. Second stop was Positano a small village as he called it. Be prepared to walk down a long hill to the wonderful beach. The church along the way was beautiful. Third stop was Amalfi where we had lunch and a downpour. It cleared as we finish lunch and we walked around the town a little bit. We modified our tour so that we could stop at Revello and tour to visit Villa Rufalo. This was an amazing Villa and spectacular views. All in all a fantastic day trip and you have to ask for Achilles of World Tours Italy. We’ll Us him next time we visit.

Josefina was an enthusiastic host, providing knowledge and a fun atmosphere along the trip, making the drive enjoyable. Gennaro 5 did a great job driving and navigating through the challenging Amalfi Coast roads. Would recommend this trip to others.

We went on the Pompeii and Amalfi coast tour with Giovanni and Bruno ! Nanci was the tour guide for Pompeii ! The tour leader Giovanni was very good and guided the entire trip very well. Nanci was excellent as well and Bruno made the trip painless with his very good driving

We had a lovely experience during our tour of Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. We greatly appreciated Bruno who safely drove us to many iconic spots of the Amalfi Coast. As we are travelling from overseas this thoughtfully organised tour was a great way to enjoy the stunning beauty of the coastline and experience the amazing history of Pompeii in one day. Our visit to Pompeii was of particular note, our friendly and informative guide gave us great insight into the fascinating history of the site.
