    Fado Vitória is an experience offered by Casa da Guitarra, which presents the essence of Fado in the historical and magical setting of a national monument – the Monastery of São Bento da Vitória, in Porto. This religious building, one of the most emblematic in the city, combines Fado with the creation of an immersive atmosphere, where the acoustics enhance the music and emotion. A True Gift

Yes, yes, and a hundred times yes I would recommend this experience. When you arrive you are greeted with your first tasting; a liquor made at the monastery. From there you are guided into the main chapel and given some history of the building. Afterwards you are led into an adjacent room, where you will attend a beautiful and intimate fado performance. The signer and the musicians are all amazingly talented. You could see their expressions change and move with the music. To be able to watch and hear them from so close was a true gift. If I were still in the city, I would go back again.
