Overview

A mysterious forest and lava cave created by Mt. Fuji, a professional guide will explain the nature, history, flora and fauna of the forest. There are many anecdotes about Jukai, several movies and documentaries have been produced, and many books have been published. We will guide you through the attractive forest in an easy-to-understand manner. Guides who are qualified as nature observation instructors will explain in a fun way. Ice caves are very rare as lava caves, and ice can be seen all year round, and cave exploration can be enjoyed by children and adults alike. Children, couples, families, clubs, company trips, anyone can enjoy it with peace of mind. The foot of Mt. Fuji is also known as a power spot. Let's make new discoveries together. The tour is operated in a small group, normally individual guests require to obtain a special entry permit from the Tourism Association of the town.The forest and caves are part of a World Heritage Site and a national park.

  • Aokigahara Forest

    You will begin to refresh with forest fresh air and start hiking. You will be captivated by the plateau lava and unique shapes of trees. You may meet Japanese squirrels and deer and other animals in the forest. You can hear the chirping of birds such as woodpeckers and Japanese tits etc. In each season, you can see unique wild plants such as rare orchids, mushrooms, and evergreen plants, lichens and algae etc. There is something inseparable from Aokigahara Jukai. It's moss. When you enter the sea of trees, the first thing you see is the moss that covers the ground. The area of Aokigahara Jukai is about 30 square kilometers, if you use the Tokyo Dome as an example of its size, it is equivalent to 200 Tokyo Domes. The vast sea of trees is covered with moss. It's a paradise of moss. Rare mosses and lichens are also a must-see. Enter a mysterious cave. This cave is a lava cave and has ice all year round. During the Meiji era, this place was used as a refrigerator.

Toshi is a great tour guide and has an amazing sense of humor. He is very knowledgeable about the area and was a great to talk with him about the forest, cave and other topics. He also answer to any of the questions i had. Explained how the cave is changing because the climate change. he also has an interest in mushrooms and we could find one very cool. the cave part was amazing but please be careful and ensure you have a good shoes for it. I highly recommend this tour!
