Recommended time to start: 09.00AM Start by crossing the 25th of April bridge and take the highway headed to the wine region of Monsaraz enjoying the amazing landscapes of Alentejo. Start by visiting one of the several wineries of the region (cellars and wine tasting) followed by the visit of the charming walled city of Monsaraz where you´ll be stunned by the amazing views of the landscape and lake of Alqueva. After having lunch at one of the most emblematic and hidden taverns of the region, drive to one of the former capitals of the Roman empire, the walled city and UNESCO site Évora. 1. Ervideira One of the best wine cellars and wine tastings of Alentejo region 1 hour 20 minutes

2. Monsaraz This extremely beautiful medieval town has succeeded in preserving its own distinctive characteristics over the centuries. Walking through the streets of Monsaraz is like going back in time, for it is a truly unique place where one can find all the peace and tranquillity that have been forgotten by the modern era. The most immediate visual impression in the town is that of the whitewash and schist of its houses and buildings. Every year, throughout the month of July, Monsaraz becomes an open-air museum, affording visitors the opportunity to get to know more about the customs and habits used in the production of Alentejo handicraft, appreciate the delights of the regional cuisine and enjoy the various cultural events that are held there, including music, theatre, dance and art exhibitions. As far as the town's architectural heritage is concerned, the highlights are the medieval castle and keep, the former court building. Lunch at this location (optional) 2 hours

3. Corticarte - Arte em Cortica In this factory, you get to understand the whole process of the cork processing. From the tree to the many different utilities that this resource can be applied 30 minutes

Evora The best way to see the city is on foot, walking through its narrow streets lined with white houses, discovering along the way the monuments and details that reveal the history of Évora and its rich heritage. Judging by the calm, welcoming surroundings, one easily sees why this city, which dates from the Roman era, was chosen by the kings of Portugal in the 15th century to serve as their residence, a fact that contributed to its development and cultural importance in the following centuries. It was in fact due to Évora´s long history and its urban center, typical of the 16th to 18th centuries, that has been preserved to our days that lead UNESCO to classify the city as a World Heritage site. Wonderful experience

Pedro was absolutely amazing and made mine and my parents trip to Portugal an unforgettable experience filled with beautiful memories and, places, and views we would NEVER have found if not for his amazing knowledge of his country. Pedro also turned into a good friend and we were able to get to k ow him as he spent a few days with us and his professionalism, friendship, and knowledge..not yo mention excellent driving skills were all beyond appreciated.
