Overview

Spanish culture is full of vibrancy and passion. There’s no better example of this than two of its iconic cultural staples: flamenco and tapas! Traversing through the historic center of Madrid, you’ll get deeper insight into each one as you see a live flamenco performance and enjoy tapas at a family-owned charcuterie store. Along the way, you’ll meet the artisans who bring flamenco shows to the stage with a visit to a local shop and gain an understanding of the music that will heighten your experience of the performance.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your tour, your guide will be holding a red bag or Devour Tours sign. This tour meets at Plaza Isabel II by the statue of Isabell II.

    Begin the evening a traditional flamenco shop open since the 1940s in Madrid's historic center for some eye-opening insights into just how much preparation goes into a single flamenco show. You’ll see the colorful dresses, shoes, castanets and everything else one needs to dress the part of a flamenco dancer.

  • Plaza Mayor

    Afterwards, take a guided stroll down some of the oldest streets in the city and stop in Plaza Mayor. Your expert guide will lay the groundwork by introducing you to the art of flamenco and its roots within Spain.

    From there, you'll go to one of the most intimate venues in the city to see an authentic flamenco show, full of passion, drama and intrigue. The insider knowledge your guide has shared with you throughout the evening will give you a deeper understanding of what you’re watching. You’ll also enjoy a special Iberian tapa and drink during the one hour show.

    Following the show, it’s time for more delicious tapas! Slip into a hidden gem family-run shop that specializes in cured meats and cheeses, including Iberian ham. Isabel was amazing! I was able to have a vegetarian option at all our stops, and the flamenco show was something I'll never forget. 10/10 recommend!

A special night with flamenco

This was one of the best tours I did in Madrid, and I did quite few! Flamenco is really a form of art, as is tapas in Spain I believe :D it was such a special evening and a must in Madrid! The tapas were delicious and of the highest quality. Can't recommend enough!

Well organised. Isobel our guide was fab. The flamenco was outstanding and the seats were amazing. Deffo recommend. The guitar shop stop is no longer part of the experience and needs to be removed from the general itinerary though.

A small group of 10 which was ideal. Our tour guide, Flo, was very passionate, informative and enthusiastic which made the tour. Good wine and tapas in several bars. The Flamenco was amazing and very absorbing. Great way to pass 3-4 hours. Thank you.
