Overview

Your guide will take you along the forest trail which leads to the park, named Jigokudani. After a short hiking, you will see the troop of monkeys bathing in hot springs. There is no separating between you and monkeys, which makes this tour a unique and memorable experience. You can enjoy a short hiking before and after the monkey section. This tour would be led by National licensed guide, so you can ask anything about the local information, as well. The tour might be changed if the weather condition is not good. Please wear warm clothes and non-slip shoes. Please note that the monkeys of Jigoku Valley are wild animals and might not appear when we visit the Jikoku valley. Please try not to touch the monkeys and refrain from having eye contacts as they might become violent. Please note that crampons will be attached to your shoes for this tour because you will be walking on snow-covered trails to meet the snow monkeys. Please be aware of this in advance.

The guide will be waiting at lobby of your hotel or gate of port /airport/Tokyo Station with a sign board which your name is written.

What To Expect

1. Tokyo Central Railway Station You take a bullet train to Nagano station. 30 minutes

2. Nagano You will arrive at Nagano station in about 1 hour and 40 mins from Tokyo station. 1 hour 40 minutes

3. Snow Monkey Resorts Info & Gift Shop Guide and you walk to the the hot spring spot for monkeys. This is the only place in the world where monkeys bathe in hot springs. You can enjoy watching the bathing monkeys in a hot spring. Since this tour involves walking on snow-covered trails, simple crampons will be attached to your shoes. Please be aware of this in advance. 4 hours

4. Nagano We come back to Nagano station and head back to Tokyo. 1 hour 30 minutes

5. Tokyo Station Marunouchi Ekimae Hiroba You will arrve at Tokyo station and go back to your hotel, or finish the tour anywhere in Tokyo. 1 hour 30 minutes
