Drivers' licenses issued by countries not covered by the 1949 Geneva Convention (such as China, Indonesia, Mexico, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, etc.) are not permitted to drive in Japan
Participants must carry their physical International Driving Permit (or for exceptional countries listed above that requires a Japanese translation, the physical domestic license + official translation) and physical passport
Minimum age is 18 years
Wear closed footwear. Skirts or long dresses are not advised.

Driving around Tokyo was amazing and waving to the locals who loved it as much as we did! Mike was a great guide and made our street kart experience that much better.

I was skeptical but I was wrong

I was skeptical about this tour but decided to give it a shot with some friends. My concern was that it would be gimmicky and kind of lame. But no, I was totally wrong with my presumption. It was actually a lot of fun and I had a great experience with my guide, Michael. The karts would have more power but were reasonably quick for city driving. It felt like we were in our own little world in the largest city in the world where we were the stars. One of the best experiences that I had in Tokyo. My only regret was that it was only 1 hour long, we were tempted to go back for a multi hour tour but unfortunately couldn't fit it into our itinerary. I would definitely do it again.

When speaking to many people they say you have to do Mario Cart. I was unsure. I went with my husband and 2 teenage boys and it was better than I expected. The guides rescheduled for us for our original day was raining. I would highly recommend street kart staff. They were great, well organized, clear with directions and very supportive. You have to do it. Book now and have a great time.
