Lake Ashinoko, also known as Ashinoko Lake or Lake Ashi, is a scenic and iconic lake located in the Hakone. known for its stunning natural beauty and historical significance. Lake Ashinoko is situated in the Hakone area, nestled within the Hakone Caldera, which was formed by volcanic activity. It offers panoramic views of Mount Fuji on clear days. One of the popular activities at Lake Ashinoko is taking a boat ride on the lake. Sightseeing cruises, including traditional wooden pirate ships, offer visitors a unique perspective of the lake's beauty and surrounding landscapes. Onsen (Hot Springs): The Hakone area is famous for its natural hot springs (onsen), and several lakeside resorts and ryokans offer relaxing hot spring baths with beautiful lake views.

Owaku-dani Valley

Owakudani, also known as the "Great Boiling Valley," is a volcanic valley Hakone, Japan. These are regular chicken eggs boiled in the hot springs, and the sulfur in the water turns the eggshells black. It is believed that eating one of these eggs adds seven years to your life. Hakone Ropeway, which connects Owakudani with Lake Ashi and Togendai. Beautiful scenic views around Mt Fuji with English speaking guide.

Our family enjoyed our trip for this one day excursion from Tokyo to Mt Fuji and Hakone area. Though the weather was cloudy, we were still able to see amazing views of Mt. Fuji from the ship on the lake, the suspension pedestrian bridge, and all over our drive. Our tour guide, Umar, went above and beyond to give us an excellent day and we also enjoyed his insights of good places to eat and Japanese culture. He purposely scheduled the day to know when each spot, like a beautiful photo op at the Tori gate, would have less people .

Diwan is an excellent guide with lot of knowledge about tour destinations, Japanese history. Tour experience was family friendly. Along with breath taking views ride was fun filled. Even lunch locations were chosen wisely. Highly recommend him. Fluent in Japanese, English, Hindi and Gujarati so tour was enjoyable.

This was our fifth and final tour with Mr Vohra (previously done: Tokyo day tour, Mount Fuji, Osaka and Kyoto). As with all our previous tours, Mr Vohra gave us a thorough and great experience in Hakone. He made the most of our time making sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves at each destination. As always, he was responsive to our needs and interests, adjusting the itinerary to accommodate our needs (as a family with a small child). Whether we wanted to spend extra time at a particular place or take a break, Mr Vohra ensured this happened effortlessly and as a priority. The car journeys in all the private day tours were extremely smooth and comfortable, the vehicle itself was very spacious and immaculately clean. Mr Vohra is an excellent and safe driver, which is always so important and a bonus when travelling with family. Throughout this tour and in fact all our tours with him, Mr Vohra took many beautiful and memorable photographs and videos of us and the destinations – it felt like we had our own professional photographer which was an unexpected and highly appreciated bonus! Great trip. Hakone Outdoor Art Museum was a highlight. Perhaps the most innovative art exhibition we have experienced. Adnan was our drive and guide. He was helpful, professional, and well informed. If we were to do the trip over again, we would skip the Skybridge and have more time at the Outdoor Art Museum. Best to start your tour early to avoid the Tokyo traffic.
