Overview

You will have access to a small organic farm, with a tropical garden 40+ years in the making. Rather than focusing solely on a coffee tour, we offer an unforgettable experience. We will talk about the magical history of the Turrialba Valley, and about the interesting family history of Los Titos Coffee Farm dating back 100 years. You will learn about the coffee process from a small producer's point of view, but also learn what life is like at an organic farm that produces 15+ different crops! The tour ends with a coffee tasting, organic fruit juices, and unlimited dehydrated fruit snacks made by us. On top of it all, during our walking tour, you will be able to see up to 15 species of birds, learn about exotic fruits in person, and if we are lucky, see our residents sloth family from up close! What makes this tour unique, is that our guide is the great-grandson of the first owner of this farm, a Spanish immigrant by the name of Honorato Sanz.

What To Expect

1. Experience our guided Organic Farm & Coffee tour at Los Titos. Here's what you can expect on this unforgettable adventure: Our guide will be waiting for you with a refreshing beverage made from our own organic crops. We start the tour by briefly talking about the rich history of the Turrialba Valley. We then start our walking tour through our tropical garden filled with exotic Heliconias, 15+ species of birds and keep an eye out for our resident sloth family! This will get us to the back garden, where we will learn about the three generations of family that have managed Los Titos, since the 1930s. We then move on to coffee! Discover the secrets of coffee production and the journey from seed to cup at Los Titos. We then move on to learn how we use innovative strategies to maintain a successful working farm while respecting the environment. Finish up in style with Coffee & snacks: Try our own organic coffee and unlimited dehydrated fruit snacks made with our own crops! 2 hours 30 minutes
