We have been fortunate to have had Nuno as our guide for 5 tours in the last 3 years. He has customized each tour and good weather seems to follow him around. His ability to make each day fun and informative is second to none. Highly recommended.

Nuno is an amazing guide, he takes pride in his work and the island. We did the east and west side of the island over two days, and it was an amazing experience. Not only do you get to see the picturesque views but you will also get the history of island as you go. This experience is a must try.

Great private tour

Nuno was great! He took us all over the island, sharing Madeira’s history along the way. The sights are varied and breath-taking. The mountains in particular were spectacular! It also takes a really skilled driver (like Nuno!) to journey along the winding, steep roads all around Madeira to truly experience how locals live. Great tour!

Two Classic Madeira Tours were the most memorable experiences of my Madeira trip!!

I have been on many tours over the years and Nuno Valente from Classic Madeira Tours is definitely one of the best tour guides!! We enjoyed a day tour of the west of Madeira one day and the east another. Nuno as a guide is fantastic as very friendly, outgoing, kind, and knowledgeable. He gives a personalized experience of the island's natural beauty, amazing landscapes, history and customs along with interesting stories. He even takes photos throughout the tours which he shares with you. There is no set agenda, he offers an interesting tour itinerary but happily adjusts to include your wishes. He takes you off the beaten track to places where there are no crowds or lineups of buses. He stops for coffee breaks, lunch, wine tasting and I would recommend every place we stopped at. He even dropped us off at a Christmas concert at Mercado dos Lavradores at the end of our eastern tour. We would never have known about it otherwise. I would not hesitate to recommend Nuno to anyone looking for an adventure in Madeira.

Best Two Days!

We did two days of tours with Nuno and could not be happier that we booked with him! Nuno is a local of Madeira and clearly loves his home. He is knowledgeable, so friendly, fun and an excellent driver. We did the West side tour first and were blown away by the views and sights. Two days later we did the East side and oh my gosh. Pico do Areeiro was so gorgeous, it took my breath away multiple times. We asked him about other sights we wanted to see/do and he was so helpful. We have a new friend!
