Admire the beauty of the enlightened Spanish Square, one of the most famous squares in Rome. Located in the heart of the roman historical city centre, the square hosts fascinating and incredible masterpieces. In the middle of the square rises the famous Barcaccia Fountain, dating to the beginning of the baroque period, sculpted by Gian Lorenzo Bernini and his father. At the same time, the square is crowned by the impressive Spanish Steps, an imposing 135-step staircase decorated with many garden-terraces, splendidly adorned with flowers in spring and summer. The sumptuous, aristocratic staircase, was designed so that the scenic effects increase more and more while approaching to it, as typical feature of the great baroque architecture.

Take a stop to admire the Trevi Fountain, that is the largest Baroque fountain in the city and one of the most famous fountains in the world, even appeared in several iconic movies like "La Dolce Vita" and "Roman Holiday". The great night-time lighting highlights the gorgeous decorating sculptures of this baroque masterpiece, creating a magical and romantic atmosphere. Belonging to the fountain is the legend whereby throwing a coin in the fountain you will ensure your return in Rome.

Take a look of one of the most important squares in Rome admiring form the external side the greatness of the Vatican. In the middle of the square rises an elegant ancient Egyptian obelisk flanked by two granite fountains, Gian Lorenzo Bernini and Carlo Maderno designed, all surrounded by a massive Doric colonnades. Located directly in front of St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican City, is enriched by an ancient Egyptian obelisk, erected at the current site in 1586. Gian Lorenzo Bernini designed the square almost 100 years later, including the massive Doric colonnades,[1][2] four columns deep, which embrace visitors in "the maternal arms of Mother Church". A granite fountain constructed by Bernini in 1675 matches another fountain designed by Carlo Maderno in 1613.

Andrea made ALL the difference in turning our tour into a highlight of our vacation. He maneuvered the crazy busy streets all the while telling us SO MUCH history, current events, unique perspectives and getting us through the crowd and to the forefront! He even had historic photos and drawings of early days to compare to. Magnificent tour guide and took us to so many locales. Breathtaking!!

Fabio waited for us at Plaza Navona after we text that our dinner was running late. He then drove us to different “picture stops” for sunset pics and “lights on after dark” pics. We had toured to Coliseum during the day-different perspective after dark! I highly recommend this tour as a great way to begin your tour or to end your tour of Rome!

Driver was friendly yet professional. Car was immaculate and very comfortable. Dropped us off at a wonderful area with several great restaurants to choose from for dinner. Nice tour!!
