Overview

Take a trip to the beautiful city of Granada and the Alhambra Palace, one of the most beautiful architectural marvels in the world, on a day trip from Costa del Sol. Granada is home to the Alhambra, of exquisite Moorish architecture, and to another of Spain's well-known UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Visit these wonders on a day trip while you learn interesting details about Granada's history and architecture from your local guide. All groups include a maximum 20 people to provide a more personal experience.

Itinerary

  • Palace of Carlos V

    The Alhambra, a Moorish citadel and palace, was built in the 13th century. It is declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and it is the most renowned building of the Andalusian Islamic historical legacy. Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor, demolished part of the architectural complex to build the Palace which bears his name in the 16th century.

  • Generalife

    The Generalife is a garden area attached to the Alhambra which became a place of recreation and rest for the Granada Muslim kings. The Generalife gardens are also declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

  • Albayzin (Pass By)

    After the Alhambra visit, discover from the hand of your guide the beautiful historic center of Granada. Before returning, you will also have free time to scroll around its streets.

Very interesting tour

Alhambra is a fascinating place, incredible architecture and interesting history. Our guide, Christina, was very knowledgeable and obviously loves her job. We were on our own in Granada without any real guidance and were told we needed to eat lunch during our free time. Many restaurants were not open until it would have been too late to eat before getting back on the bus. We walked almost 8 miles so wouldn't advise anyone not in good walking shape to take this tour.

Amazing expérience. Thé Al Hambra is breath-taking and Christina was a perfect spanish/french guide. First part was also great because you could explore Granada on your own and not as a group.

Really a good tour! We left from Torremolinos, and no one locally could get us tickets to the Alhambra Palace nor the Alhambra Gardens, thanks god this company is havind the possibility to visit the Alhambra Garden's, and we can say, the Gardens are as beautiful as the Palace... Really worth to visit, for sure seeing the prices they are asking to visit the Palace, as the gardens are the same or even better... Julia Travel did a good job for us!
