I propose a touching tour in YANAKA area, which will give you the chance to know a good old-days Japanese life-style and its traditional culture! You will take a walk dressed with Yukata or Kimono together with AKIZAKURA's Kimono Upcycled Umbrella. you can have a lot of commemorative photos at each photogenic spot in YANAKA, for your unforgettable experience in Japan. Japanese Kimono culture has long history and it was deeply accepted into Japanese life-style, Kimono was not only the clothes but also a good showcase of idea for sustainable. Also, AKIZAKURA's Umbrella is not just the accessory but the part of our identification to show up your class. ※ Date, time, location and number of participants may be customised. Itinerary

  • Yanaka

    First, when you arrive at the meeting point, we introduce ourselves to each other. After that, You will be dressed Yukata(summer cotton kimono) in summer, and Kimono in winter time. (Now Kimono) You can choose, in advance, your preference from a selection of about 50 Yukata or Kimono. I offer authentic kimono made from silk, produced in the traditional way. It is very comfortable to wear and very beautiful. The dressing time depends on the number of people, but ranges from 30 minutes to one hour.

  • Yanaka District

    City walk. You can enjoy the old streets of Japan. During a walk, I show you the stylish walking-manner with Yukata and Kimono, way of sitting-down, and pattern of behavior. And I tell you about Japanese culture.

  • Nezu Shrine

    We take a lot of pictures at Nezu Shrine. Nezu Shrine is one of the most beautiful shrines. The shrine pavilions are magnificent, there are many torii (red gates) and you can take very beautiful pictures wherever you take pictures. If you wish, I can also shoot video. Before enjoying the photography, I will also give you a lecture on how to visit a full-scale Japanese shrine.

My fiancée and I had such a lovely time doing this! Sayoko was very attentive and quick to respond to any questions we had. I decided to pay for the hair, makeup, and photos. It was totally worth it. I felt so pretty, and my fiancée looked handsome. The walk to the shrine felt nice since you walk through the neighborhood. Sayoko taught me to walk elegantly and how to go over a stair step in my kimono. Sayoko even taught us the appropriate etiquette of visiting a shrine and to pray. I highly recommend booking this experience. You get to learn and embrace Japanese culture.

I absolutely loved this experience! Ms. Sayoko made the whole process so smooth and enjoyable. I also booked a hair and make up and the hair stylist-make up artist did a wonderful job making me look great! Highly recommend the make up and hair for those who don't really know how to do it like myself. The pictures look so beautiful. Ms. Sayoko also gave a tour of the shrine that also served as the photoshoot background. The kimono+accessories Ms. Sayoko provided were really beautiful and she dressed me so nicely. I can't recommend this activity enough! I would love to come back to do this for cherry blossom season!
