Overview

Start this tour in the original core of the city of Porto, next to the pilory in front of the Cathedral. Best wine tour in Porto

Vitor is a really nice guy. Wine expert able to immediately make you get in Porto vibes. His knowledge of the city and the wines makes you really feel the wine tasting experience!

Great Jewish Heritage Tour in Porto

We went on the 3 Hour Porto Jewish Heritage tour. The tour leader was Ricardo. He took us on a thorough 3 hour tour describing the Jewish experience in Porto and in Portugal. He took us to relevant places that had Jewish significance in downtown Porto, and when he couldn't take us to a place (if it was closed or too far away), he showed us details of the place on his phone. After the tour we asked him how he had such a breadth of knowledge on the Jewish History in Portugal. It seems he went to the archives and studied the topic in depth. It really showed as he imparted to us information, we were not able to find anywhere else. Very impressed and would rate this 5 Stars!!!!

Ricardo, our guide was knowledgeable, approachable, and very pleasant to be with. She walked and explained as much as there is to see.. He explained the history and shared with us a lot of interesting experiences.

We knew that little remains to be seen of the Jewish community in Porto, but Ricardo provided a great deal of information and pointed out small details that we never would have noticed on our own. He has obviously put in considerable research and the tour was definitely worth while!
