Overview

This tour is accompanied by a National Government Licensed English Guide Interpreter. Visit the World Heritage Sites of Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima and Hiroshima's Atomic Bomb Dome on this leisurely tour. Visit the Main Building of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, which was newly reopened after renovations in April 2019. Look forward to seeing wild deer in the untouched abundant nature of Miyajima.

  • Itsukushima Shrine

    A World Heritage site. Established in the 6th century, this shrine is one of Japan's finest, and is famous for its beautiful Shinden-zukuri style structure (architecture representative of a nobles' residence in the Heian period). The contrast of the green of Mt. Misen behind the lacquered shrine pavilion and the blue of the Seto Sea is beautiful and evocative of the underwater palace of Ryugujo.

  • Miyajima

    Time for lunch is allotted on Miyajima. This region is known for oysters, Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, and conger eel rice bowl, which are available at many shops on Miyajima. Customers are free to enjoy their preferred meals. *Lunch is not included in the tour booking charge.

  • Atomic Bomb Dome

    The Atomic Bomb Dome is a symbol of the disastrous atomic bombing during WWII, the first atomic bombs used in human history, and has been preserved as it was to promote peace and elimination of atomic weapons around the world.

  • Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum

    This large-scale park was established in 1949 after the Pacific War ended, and is visited by countless visitors as a symbol of peace. The museum within the park is an Important Cultural Property of Japan, and was built to remind future generations of the terror wrought by atomic bombs.

  • For customers with a Japan Rail Pass traveling from Kyoto or Shin-Osaka to Hiroshima Station, please be sure to board a Shinkansen departing early enough for you to reach the meeting location (Hotel Granvia Hiroshima lobby) and arrive by the meeting time. Customers who do not arrive by the meeting time cannot join the tour.
  • The order of activities and arrival times may differ depending on road conditions and congestion at destinations.
  • Seats may not be designated.
  • Children up to 5 years old may join free of charge, but will not be provided with bus seats. If bus seats are required, please make a booking under the child rate.
  • Parental permission in writing is necessary for all tour participants under the age of eighteen. Any participant under the age of fifteen or not yet enrolled in middle school must be joined by a parent or guardian on the tour.

Good tour and good guide

I highly recommend this tour. The tour guide was extremely professional, kind, and attentive. There was ample time to see both the island and Hiroshima itself. By 9 PM we were back at.Kyoto

This tour was great. We loved our time at Miyajima although it was very busy being a public holiday weekend. Hiroshima very moving and informative. The only downside was the tour was a full coach so when our guide spoke outside on our walks we couldn't always hear the information she was giving.

Our Tour Guide was Hikari. She was an amazing guide filled with so much valuable information. I was quite blow with the information she gave to us. Both at Miyajima and at the Atomic Dome site. I highly recommend this tour if you are visiting Hiroshima.

Excellent, informative tour to Miyajima and then the Peace Memorial. Our guide Kyoko was knowledgeable and kind with our group. They even provided umbrellas when it rained! Would highly recommend.
