Overview

Maui Mountain Activities offers horseback rides that take you up into the West Maui Mountains to view waterfalls (seasonal) from a distance, then down to the coastline to ride alongside the Pacific Ocean. Experience the tranquility of Maui's native rainforests and the beauty of its waters. There is a run spot where you can run your horse, if you want (weather permitting), and your guides will take photos of you with your camera along the way. Tour through the petting zoo and experience up close the many animals, which may include mini horses, geese, rabbits, guinea pigs, pigs, and sheep. This is a 2 hour tour. Soft drinks are provided and complimentary.

Meeting points

There will be a big yellow "Maui Mountain Activities Parking" sign on the left side of the road. The guide will arrive at 8am. Once all the guests arrive for the 8:15am check-in, the guide will lead all vehicles up to the ranch where the horses are located.

AM Horseback ride is a 2-hour ride that goes gradually up the mountainside to view the waterfalls (seasonal) in the valley from a distance. Then ride down the mountainside all the way to the ocean where you will ride along the coastline (not white sand beach.) There is also an area you are allowed to trot or canter (weather permitting).

Horses are healthy and well cared for. The owner and wranglers are friendly, knowledgeable, and care deeply about the safety of their animals and guests. Was a beautiful ride down the mountain to the Oceanside. We loved meeting and getting the privilege to ride Switch and Gold! A great way to spend a morning in Maui. The trail conditions were not perfect as it had been raining but they definitely went out of their way to make the experience awesome.

Beautiful scenery, healthy horses. Be prepared for an amazing experience.

To be ready for a nice Adventure. They do furnish water and soda’s ,no food. It’s very serene, they make it very comfortable for you. You don’t have to be a writer explain and help you with everything. They go at your pace.,

My girls, 9 and 11 had never ridden alone and were a little nervous at first. Ciara was so patient and did an amazing job teaching them on the trail. Views were spectacular.
