Overview

The best welcome one of the largest cities in the world. Through a small group we will walk through a pre-Hispanic and colonial city. We will see Mexico as a fusion between two cultures represented in history and architecture.

Itinerary

  • Zocalo

    We will see a square surrounded by the National Palace, Supreme Court of Justice, and silversmith shops.

    15 minutes

  • Catedral Metropolitana de la Ciudad de Mexico

    We will enter one of our most emblematic colonial treasures in the entire country, built with the stones that once formed part of the Great Temple of the Great Tenochtitlan.

    20 minutes

  • Museo del Templo Mayor

    We will see outside the archaeological ruins of the Templo Mayor dedicated to the god of rain and the god of the sun. We will understand its importance for the Mexicas and we will understand the geographical distribution.

    40 minutes

  • Francisco I. Madero Avenue

    We will walk through one of the streets that represents great history for past and current Mexico. We will enter a church that is sinking and we will see great buildings such as the Torre Latinoamericana.

    25 minutes

  • House of Tiles (Casa de los Azulejos)

    A place much photographed for its tiles that is an icon of the city.

    15 minutes

  • Palacio Postal

    We will entertain ourselves with a beautiful palace that is still in operation. We will understand the economic and political consequence of a majestic palace.

    20 minutes

  • Palacio de Bellas Artes

    A must see when coming to Mexico City. Its interior and exterior is art that at first glance leaves us dazzled.

On our stroll between the Zocalo and Almeda Central our friendly woman guide gave us a nice overview of Mexican history and culture, from Aztec to current time, via stops at places we likely would've overlooked otherwise.
