Overview

Engage your senses on a wine-tasting tour through the vineyards and olive groves of Umbria. Umbria is the perfect wine land, an off-the-beaten-path area that produces wines of the highest quality. Known mostly for the production of Sagrantino Montefalco DOCG wine and Montefalco Rosso, we excel in both the production of red wines and white wines. You will visit two family-run, boutique wineries and learn all about this ancient tradition directly from the winemaker.   • Montefalco

    You will be picked up at your accommodation or our agreed meeting point at 9.30 am. We will drive to the first family-run winery in Montefalco/Bevagna. Visit the cellar, walk through the vineyards, and learn all about their wine production methods directly from the winery's owners. Sit and relax, enjoying a guided wine tasting of their best wines.

  • Bevagna

    get back on our van, we are on to the second family-run winery in the area of Bevagna. Upon arrival, enjoy a walk through the vineyards and a visit to their cellar room. Sit and enjoy a homemade lunch, paired with the best winery's labels.

Had a great day out with Daniele. Two wineries. Plenty of wines. Lovely lunch. Great guide who communicates very well and is very knowledgeable. So good in fact we hired Daniele to take us on a hike to Spelo two days later We will be back and engage Daniele again. Grazie mille

The ultimate Slow Travel Zelf Guided Umbrian Biking Experience

Had the most wonderful 7 day Self Guided tour very well organized by Laura and Daniele, the owners of Greenway Italy. To be HIGHLY recommended. From the hotels, wine-tastings and all the restaurants, all was cousy, high quality and reasonably priced. It is the ultimate Italian, or better Umbrian experience you can think of and recommended and Daniele and Laura (and little Leonardo) make it to an ever lasting slow travel experience! Thank you guys! Only recommendation we have going forward is to make sure that your bikes have lasting batteries for 50 km+ distances, including some stiff climbs!

Savoring authentic Umbria

This tour was made special for two reasons: the first was our guide, Daniele, whose world travels and depth of knowledge of wine making and the region made the day so interesting. The second was the wineries themselves- both small & family owned. The owners were warm and welcoming and the food that was served with our tasting was outstanding. Our day unfolded at a gentle pace, one that enabled us to savor the best of Umbria.
