Join us on our Traditional Walking Food Tour in Perugia, where we'll take you to at leaast 4 of the city's best food stops and embark on a new culinary adventure. Explore the city's vibrant food scene as we take you to the best local eateries, trattorias and gelaterias. From trying Umbrian bread, “torta al testo”, cured meats and cheeses to indulging in local and traditional pasta and gelato or pastries, you'll get to taste the flavors of Perugia like never before.   • Chiesa di San Fortunato

    We'll go around the area of Saint Fortunatus Church and explore the streets before going to the first stop where you'll try some local charcuterie and some lovely wine

    Admiring the arch before properly entering the town where we'll enjoy the most typical of Perugian street food dishes "the torta al testo"

    We'll also explore the main piazza and the close-by areas while going towards the third stop, a typical trattoria where you'll relish upon fresh pasta and local sauces.

Great way to discover Perugia

We joined the tour as 4 friends (2 couples) speaking English and we had a very nice time with Silvia discovering a lot of nice places in Perugia. The food was great as well as all the stories.

Best way to enjoy the city

Went with my extended family including my 82 yo grandmother and had the best time. The food was AMAZING and we were able to get a great tour of Perugia as well. Highly recommend this tour if you’re staying in the area. The company is also very kind and helpful. We had a few last minute changes and they were very responsive and flexible.

We had a wonderful food tour of Perugia! Our guide today, Sylvia, was extremely accommodating. She took us to all the sites on the itinerary, and gave us tips on other sites to visit during our stay in Perugia with a hand-annotated maps. Porchetta, Pasta, Cinghiale, Chocolate: The perfect gastronomic afternoon

A great opportunity to sample some shops we would never have found on our own. Giorgia was a great host and we enjoyed all the Perugian favorites: porchetta, prosciutto, pecorino, pasta, cinghiale, and chocolate. A lovely afternoon.

Loved our experience with our guide Giorgia (born and raised in Italy with perfect English). There was no category for our group- we were 6 family members ranging in age from 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and an 81 year old. It was great to get the history of the food we were eating and their Perugian origins. Be prepared to eat! If I had to do it again I’d pack extra napkins and wet wipes in my bag along with some ziplock bags to easily pack our leftover food in (sometimes it could be a tad messy). It was fun on our first stop to learn the history about this delicious porchetta sandwich that originated with this food vendor (Pace yourself. We ate half and saved the rest for later). Our second stop could be difficult if you have people in your group who are young, old or have any physical challenges with a need to sit (there are just a couple of bar stools made available and it can be a bit awkward to hold food and drink etc). The sandwiches here feature artisan cold cuts and we enjoyed Giorgia’s recommendations. Our third stop was a beautiful sit down lunch. Every dish ordered was a 10 out of 10! And our final stop was a great lesson and tasting on the history of Perugina chocolate and Baci. Grazie!
