    Meet your guide at main shrine gate at Hanazono Jinja Shrine at Shinjuku Sanchome Station.

  • Hanazono Shrine

    Hanazono Shrine is a large, ancient Shinto shrine in the very heart of Tokyo's bustling Shinjuku ward. It is considered the most important shrine of Shinjuku, the shrine guarding the area, its inhabitants, merchants, craftsmen and artists. Shrine already existed in 1590. In the evening, the shrine is colorfully lit up and invites a romantic stroll.

  • Shinjuku Golden Gai

    "Located right next to Hanazono Shrine is Golden Gai, a warren of alleys with tiny bars. Traditionally, those bars often served as second homes to writers and artists of all stripes. In the 1960's, Shinjuku became a center of Japanese counter culture. Large-scale student demonstrations took place in the vicinity of Shinjuku Station, the whole area became a vital ground for rebellious musicians, movie makers and avant-garde theater."

    Kabukicho is an area full to the brim with over 3,000 shops, restaurants, nightclubs, karaoke and the like. Awash in bright neon lights, Kabukicho is one of Tokyoā€™s most photogenic areas. With streets filled with people and music blaring from every corner, youā€™re sure never to have a boring evening in Kabukicho. We had an amazing time! Our guide was very kind and was very helpful and gave great insights into the area and the food and drink. The food and the drink was great.

First, a tour of one of the most fascinating and lively precincts of the city, packed with micro bars and neon light shows... Next, a ritzy bar, then a sensationsl Udon noodles restaurant. Finally the Tokyo karaoke experience not to be missed.
